Matt and Tyneshia met over 10 years ago and became friends and even roommates for a bit in their early 20's. They remained friends throughout the years and shared lots of milestones in each other's lives.
After deciding to ring in 2022 together, Matt (after a couple of beers) admitted to having deeper than friendship feelings. Tyneshia quickly realized she felt the same. They jumped in head first and have been inseparable ever since!
Having 13 years of friendship to build on made things so natural and easy. Matt sold his house 7 months after they started dating to move in with Tyneshia, and just a few short months later, they sold Tyneshia's house and bought their first home together. While only moving a handful of miles away, they purchased 10 acres in East Bethel to make the first step toward having a small hobby farm. They already have the herd of dogs, so now it's time to add the farm animals!
For Christmas, Tyneshia bought Matt a certificate to skydive because his biggest fear is heights, so perfect, right? On June 3rd, 2023, they jumped out of a plane, and Matt proposed as soon as they landed. It was beautiful and perfect.
Matt and Tyneshia share the same sense of humor and sarcasm and spend every day making each other laugh. Enjoying the lake on their boat, playing yard games, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends are some of their favorite things.
