Our Story

Middle School Sweethearts

Tyler and I have known of each other our whole lives. From him cutting my hair in 2nd grade to him calling me names in 6th grade to our wedding day, we’ve been through it all.
We started dating on August 11th, 2013 after a night at the fair. We rode one ride together and were very RUDELY interrupted by our parents (thanks guys lol)! We had been talking all summer long and I was hoping he was going to ask me out after the fair but it was a little awkward not gonna lie so I wasn’t feeling very optimistic but then he texted me like an hour later and goes “So you’re my girlfriend now right?” And I remember laughing to myself and going, “no you actually have to ask me!” Tyler responds back with, “Oh right, well will you be my girlfriend?”

The rest is history! We’ve been through so many things in life together! We started and graduated high school together, we did the long distance while we got degrees (myself in Wahpeton and Tyler in Glendive), then I took a leap of faith and moved down to Aberdeen, SD to follow Tyler who had signed to play baseball at Presentation College, I watched Tyler graduate with his second college degree, we have two dogs, bought a house and so much more. I couldn’t imagine a better man by my side through everything and I can truly say I grew up with my best friend.
The proposal was everything I could’ve ever dreamed of and I still can’t believe he was able to keep it from me! He had me spend the day golfing with my dad, brother Dawson and his friend Parker all while him and his family and my mother were out in Makoshika creating the most beautiful set up I’ve ever seen. When we were done golfing everyone was telling me we needed to go up to makoshika and get family pictures done and I was sooo mad because my face was so red from golfing and it was super hot that day!! I gave in and off we went to Makoshika. When I pulled up all I could see was Tyler’s dad Mark, his mom Rachel and his little sister Ashley’s boyfriend, Noah. I walked up and asked them where everyone was but just as those words were coming out of my mouth I looked out over the look out and there was Tyler waiting for me. I walked down the path to the love of my life escorted by my brother (it was slippery) and said the easiest yes I’ve ever said in my life.
