WEATHER FOR BERKELEY, CA

Right now Friday is predicted to have a high of 63 and low of 51 fahrenheit. Weather in the Bay Area changes a lot throughout the day, so a sunny day can get cool and foggy in the evening, especially up in the hills (but let’s pray for a sunny evening!). Our ceremony is outside, for about ½ hour, so please make sure you have layers to be warm and comfy.

DIRECTIONS FAQ:

The Brazilian Room, Tilden Park

1500 Wildcat Canyon Rd, Berkeley, CA 94708

A note about directions:

The Brazilian Room is located in Tilden Park, part of the East Bay Regional Park system up in the Berkeley Hills. Your map app will give you various options (I recommend the Apple Maps over Google if you’ve got an iphone), and because the roads are winding and there’s no straightforward way to get there, I recommend either following the options that

Take you on 24 East towards Walnut Creek–you go through the tunnel and get off on the first exit and go up the hill

Or

Take you up behind UC Berkeley past the football stadium, UCB Botanical Garden and Lawrence Hall of Science

These are the least confusing options if you’re not familiar with the hills.

The signs within the park are decent for pointing you right in conjunction with your maps app.

Uber or Lyft are also good to get you there!

IMPORTANT: Cell phone service is limited up there, especially depending on your provider (Verizon seems the strongest), so pre-load the directions and print them out, too.

SAFETY

PLEASE DO NOT leave any valuables in your car, hidden or not, especially electronics of any kind. Unfortunately, there are devices that can detect the signal of a computer/phone even if it's 'asleep'. We don't want your visit ruined by theft!

COVID/Health:

If you are traveling, please take care to wear a mask, as we have several immune-compromised guests (and no one wants to take home the ‘gift’ of getting sick); if you start feeling ill we ask you to stay home, as sad as we’ll be to miss you. Thanks for watching out for everyone’s wellbeing.

LOGISTICS DOC:

You can find all of the info you need that's on this page also in one handy google doc that you can load on your phone and/or printout:
