Cody and Kelsey met like many couples did in 2023...swiping on a dating app!

After seeing that they both had pictures with their dogs Patsy and Winston, Cody swiped right and started their love story with the famous line "Hey, what's your dogs name?". Fortunately for Kelsey he was busy renovating his house because it took her 6 days to see the notification and respond, but once she finally answered they hit it off and soon a dinner date was set at Leo's Italian Social. The date ended as you would expect on Saint Patricks Day, by meeting up with Kelsey's friends who were out celebrating in Akron! Not only did Kelsey and Cody continue to get to know each other that night over a green beer, but their first date would be documented thanks to a certain nosy friend(who is now the Maid of Honor so clearly she knew what was happening that night!)

Not long after that night, Cody asked Kelsey to be his girlfriend on April 25th(the perfect date!) and the rest was history. They spent as much time together as they could: enjoying concerts, Cleveland sporting events, wineries, Playhouse shows, wing nights at Pounders, movie nights, and many dinners at Cody's house. They also hit it off with each other's friends and family(something that was important to both Kelsey and Cody!) which led to many holiday celebrations, weekend trips, nights in Cleveland, golf outings, weddings, and many rounds of Euchre!

And of course, Patsy and Winston met and soon became attached at the hip as brother and sister, confirming what Cody and Kelsey were already thinking, that this relationship was meant to be!

The holiday season of 2024 rolled around and Kelsey kept looking for any signs of an engagement, but thanks to the help of family and friends (and some clever lying by her mom) she was convinced there would not be a ring anytime soon. But, when Kelsey opened a necklace from Cody on Christmas morning, she looked to see that he had something else to go with it, an engagement ring! Not only were they surrounded by Cody's family when she said yes, but they were able to drive back and continue the celebrations with Kelsey's family in the days following(something really important to both of them!). It was the start of a wonderful engagement season, and they cannot wait to wrap it up with all of you on their wedding day as they become husband and wife!
