Jarrod proposed to Sophie on a trip to the beautiful island of Oahu! Sophie foiled Jarrod’s initial plans to propose on the first night, canceling his fancy dinner reservations on account of being too sleepy. This forced him to adjust his secret plans. On the second day, while walking around in the North Shore, Jarrod found a secluded cliff looking over the ocean and asked Sophie to be his wife.

Jarrod and Sophie started dating back in April 2023. On their first date, they went out to a brewery in Bakersfield. They closed out the place, and then continued to talk for two hours in the parking lot until 11pm. At the end of the night, Jarrod gave Sophie the best hug (although she may have been hoping for a tiny good night kiss). Jarrod asked if he could take Sophie out for her birthday four days later, but they couldn’t wait that long and ended up grabbing pizza the next night. After that, the rest was history!
