We have decided to make our wedding an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding and hope you can join us and enjoy a night out!
What is the dress code?
For the Welcome Party: Dressy casual, suitable for a garden setting — think linens, sundresses, and relaxed elegance.
For the Wedding: Guests are encouraged to wear elegant evening attire. Garden formal or black-tie optional — think gowns, elegant dresses, suits, or tuxedos paired with practical footwear for an outdoor setting.
Do I need a visa to go to El Salvador?
If you are a U.S. citizen you don’t need a visa for short stays in El Salvador, but make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from your date of entry.
What is El Salvador's currency?
El Salvador's currency is the U.S. dollar (USD). We recommend bringing some cash, but credit cards are accepted in most places you'll visit, and ATMs are accessible.
Can I drink the tap water?
It's best to avoid drinking tap water in El Salvador. We recommend sticking to bottled or filtered water during your stay.
What’s the weather like during that time of year?
In early March, El Salvador typically has warm, tropical weather with daytime temperatures ranging from 75°F to 85°F (24°C to 29°C). It’s part of the dry season, so you can expect plenty of sunshine and minimal rain. However, evenings can be a bit cooler, so light layers are recommended.
What’s the best way to get around the area?
The best way to get around is by car. You can arrange for private transportation to/from the airport and/or for any extra days that you plan to be in El Salvador by contacting the recommended driver/transportation service.
Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?

Are there any nearby accommodations you recommend?
We have reserved a block of rooms at Cardedeu hotel, in Lake Coatepeque with discounted rates. If you are arriving in San Salvador a few days early and plan to stay in the city, we have included a hotel recommendation. Learn more in the ‘Travel & Stay’ section.
Where is the wedding taking place?
The wedding will take place at a venue called Cardedeu, located on Lake Coatepeque. Please note that Lake Coatepeque is a little over an hour away from the city of San Salvador.
