Valerie and Steven met their fall semester of Junior year at Penn State! Started dating January 8th, 2019 and graduated together in 2020.

After graduation they did long distance for three years and tried to see each other every month! Steven moved to Hoboken, NJ and Valerie moved to West Hartford, CT but that didn't last long.

Valerie eventually moved to Charlotte, NC in 2022!

Steven moved to New York, NY in 2022 and this is photo evidence that Valerie actually did visit him in NYC!

Valerie finally convinced Steven to move to Queen City! They moved in together and currently live in Charlotte, NC.

Over the years they have gone on many trips together! Newport, Rhode Island is one of their favorite spots.

Next up is Utah! The most recent annual Gschwind family ski trip to Solitude Mountain.

And the annual Calhoun family beach trips to Ocean Isle Beach, NC!

September 18th, 2024 Steven proposed in Latta Park in Dilworth! It will always be such a special place for them. Steven surprised Valerie with her parents driving down and also planned an engagement party with some of their friends and family at Valerie's favorite wine garden.
