When we met:

Our story began when we met on an elevator at Fairmont State University just a few weeks after classes started, September 8th, 2018. Valerie was attending Pierpont Community and Technical College and Logan was attending Fairmont State University both in Fairmont, WV. Despite growing up 30 minutes apart we had never met before college. Valerie was hanging out with her friend Katie and Logan was coming back from the cafeteria, we ending up taking the same elevator. Logan, the social butterfly he is, started up a conversation we instantly clicked and began talking everyday.

Official:

We went on many dates but didnt make the official boyfriend/ girlfriend status until 3 months later. We were exchanging Christmas gifts when Logan asked Valerie to make it official on December 26th, 2018.

Through the years:

We shared lots of ups and downs through the years of school together. From trips, dates, to comforting each other through hard times. When Valerie graduated from college she moved to Morgantown, WV in May of 2020. She started to work for WVU Medicine. Logan still had a year of school left but, with COVID starting Logan had to move back home to Summersville, WV. We dated over the phone and through facetime for many months.

Our life together:

When Logan graduated college, in April of 2021, we decided we didnt want to be apart and we moved in together in an apartment in Morgantown. Logan went on to work at different places until finding his career at the Department of Justice. We have then moved to our current home. Our family then grew by four paws with the addition of our boy cat, Theodore. It wasnt until after a year later we added another set of four paws with the addition of our little girl cat, Stella.

Proposal:

Logan began to plan out a well devised proposal for Valerie. The original plan was to propose to Valerie while out on a relaxing cruise to Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. Logan received the blessing from Valerie's Father, Charlie, to marry his daughter. Logan after receiving his blessing had Valerie's Mother Jeannie, Valerie's sister Cheyenne, Logan's Mother Heather, Logan's Step-Father, Chris and Logan's sister Tommie Ann, come out and help pick out the perfect engagement ring and wedding band. Logan and Valerie where eating breakfast, August 19th, 2023 when Logan was talking on speaker phone when word got out unexpectedly of the planned proposal. So Logan then proposed to Valerie that morning in our pajamas where Valerie cried tears of joy and ultimately said, YES!.

Our future:

After 6 years together, we have to many stories to share on a website. We are so excited for more to come and we are so ecstatic to share our special wedding story with you.
