We both had bad luck on dating sites; Tim was about to delete his profile, but we each decided to give it one more go. This turned out to be the best thing either of us did! Valerie got the courage to message Tim and all she could say was “hello”. Tim responded right away and was immediately smitten. After a few days Valerie surprised Tim by inviting him to an impromptu date. She wanted to meet him in person before her wrist surgery, because she was afraid she would chicken out later. Val beat Tim to the restaurant and the first thing Tim noticed was a beautiful woman with long red hair with her feet dangling from the bench in the waiting area. We sat and immediately bonded. The waitress tried for over an hour to take our order but we hadn’t even looked at the menu yet. She was not pleased. Instead we were in awe of all the similarities between our lives; both fathers in the forest service, never had a cavity, the love of dirt bikes and both of us having a Tacoma, the desire to travel and so much more. The most interesting thing we have in common is that we can bend out thumbs backwards. We finally ordered and ate and the date had to end. It was the best 3 hours of our lives, upon leaving Tim and Valerie knew deep down that this was the beginning of the best love story…

One of the greatest things that has come out of us meeting and starting our life together is all of our family and friends that we consider family!
