Our love story began like many modern-day romances - with a swipe. Ron sent the first message and Val was happy to oblige in this virtual courtship. After three weeks of phone calls and text messages, we decided to meet up in person. We quickly realized that we found in each other what we'd been searching for - someone kind, honest, supportive, and someone who shared our values and interests.

The proposal happened on August 28, 2023 at the beaches in downtown Toronto. It was at a romantic and picturesque spot near R.C. Harris that Ron got down on one knee and asked Val to be a part of his forever. Overwhelmed with emotion and joy, Valerie wholeheartedly gave her easiest 'yes'.
