It was 2018 when Ryan and Vanessa's love story first began. Their first date took place at Unknown Brewery in Charlotte, NC. After their first date, they became nearly inseparable; After their third date, Vanessa introduced Ryan to Rylee(her terrier/dachshund mix) and at that point Ryan was in trouble.

They bounced back and forth from South End to Plaza Midwood to see each other until COVID hit dragging Rylee from home to home. After many trips across town, nursing exams, breweries, date nights, and rounds of golf later, Ryan and Vanessa decided to move in together.

After living together for over two years, Ryan and Vanessa decided to purchase their first home together. May 11,2023 was not only the day Ryan and Vanessa became first time home owners, but was also the day Ryan popped the question! After the two love birds closed on their first home at 9 am, Ryan took Vanessa to Freedom Park to get down on one knee. After endless celebrations, they are now settled into their new home and taking care of their two fur babies, Rylee and Callee the cat.

After some deliberation, Ryan and Vanessa wanted to host the wedding to a place near and dear to them. Ryan spent his college days at Furman with the pleasure of a good friend and teammate who introduced him to the Reserve at Lake Keowee. Fast forward many years, and the Phelps family decided to buy a home in the Reserve where they feel lucky to get to visit so often! They are so excited to show you the little slice of heaven that is the Reserve in the fall.

They could not be more excited to see all of their family and friends from near and far, and start their happily ever after!
