We met on MSN. Her username was VanessaB, my name was none of your business. We were 12, and like any healthy teen relationship, we talked to each other online and never saw one another in person. She liked me. ALOT. I had no idea.

She’s says it was because of my lack of getting the hint I say it was her shyness and lack of GIVING hints. As time went by we became best friends getting so comfortable that we could talk about our families, dreams, hopes, worries, and a lot of music. Through this, I learned how to listen, how to empathize, and how to connect with someone’s heart.After 5 years of being in each others lives, thats when I unknowingly realized I ended up falling in love. It happened during our last summer in high school (finding my self walking to her house everyday just to see her),we would spend time just sitting on the porch talking for hours until one night things changed and the friendship became something more.

Now for the past 11 years, we have loved going on drives, watching movies, being with family and friends, playing board games , and cuddling with our two cute cats (always thought I was a dog person). While it may have taken 10 years, a pandemic and some obstacles, I finally got the chance to get down on one knee, and now I can’t wait to stand at the altar with her and take the next steps of our journey.

When I think about our story, I remember all of the ways our paths crossed. There was the time in 7th grade, when me and my best friend decided to go for a bike ride and saw you pass by, Or that time in 8th grade when our mutual friend introduced us through video chat and then you added me as a friend! We had no idea who we were talking to, but we began messaging each other anyway. My favourite memory though, was our first years of high school, when we both truly started to bond over things like heartbreak, our love of music, our values, and just enjoying endless conversation while playing multiplayer games all night.

We didn’t start dating until our senior year of high school. After initially being afraid of dating (and losing) my best friend, I remembered that you had always been there for me, and always would be. Now, we live together and we have two adorable cats. We aimlessly drive around to new places and towns we’ve never been and now that we’re getting married, I’m even more excited for what the future holds.

We wish we could share every adventure with you. But if you’re reading this, you’re definitely apart of them, which is why we’d love to have you at our wedding to celebrate with us.
