Q + A

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Our wedding will be beach formal, cocktail attire. Since we’ll be on the beach, consider wearing comfortable shoes like sandals or wedges. We also recommend light fabrics to stay cool in the warm weather.

What’s the weather like at the destination?

September is one of the hottest months of the year on Roatán, with very high temperatures and humidity most days. You can also expect a fair few scattered showers, but these are often a refreshing relief after hours in the bright sunshine!

Do I need a passport or visa?

US Citizens only need a valid passport to enter Roatan, Honduras.

How do I get to the wedding venue from the airport?

The venue is located approximately 30 minutes from Juan Manuel Gálvez international airport. There are multiple taxi services available right outside of the airport.

What activities are available at the destination?

Roatán’s West End Village is one of the most popular locations on the whole island. September is a brilliant month to enjoy the village’s lively atmosphere without the usual hordes of tourists. With a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants, and a vibrant social scene during the day as well as at night, it’s a unique place that you must visit at least once during your stay on the island. West Bay beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. These beaches are public and have tons of water activities. The whole island is very safe for tourists, thus we encourage you to explore the area and make the most of your time here.

Can I bring my children?

Due to limited capacity and constraints on availability for accommodations, we hope you appreciate that children are only invited if named. Your invitation will be made out to “The {Your Last Name} Family” if your children have been invited, and “Mr & Mrs.” if only you and your significant other have been invited.

How do I RSVP

Please RSVP by June 27th using the RSVP form on this website or by contacting us. We kindly ask that you respond as soon as possible so we can finalize our plans.

Can I extend my stay at the hotel?

Yes! If you’d like to extend your stay beyond the wedding dates, please contact the hotel directly and mention that you’re part of the Vanessa & Blake’s wedding group to see if the discounted rate can be applied to your extended stay.

What’s the currency in Honduras and can I use credit cards?

The local currency is Lempiras, however, US dollar and major credit cards are widely accepted. We recommend carrying some cash for small purchases or tips. ATMs are also available at the airport and around the island.

Are there alternatives accommodations besides the venue hotel?

Yes! We encourage our guests to take advantage of the discounted rates and convenience that our venue is offering. If rooms are unavailable, there are plenty other options in the island.
