We have spent lots of time in the Amalfi Coast and included some of our favorite things to do here:
Ravello is such an amazing little town. There are great shops and restaurants around the square. The best thing to do is just get lost walking through the cobblestone streets & explore. They have everything from olive oil shops and wine shops (where they offer tastings) to clothing stores, gift shops, art galleries, pizzerias, cafes, etc. We have listed some of our favorite places to visit in Ravello.
1. Sapori Mediterranei- Authentic wine shop with amazing cheeses, homemade sandwiches, and local food items. They can arrange for personal wine tastings if you let them know you are a guest at our wedding.
2. Kundry Bottega d'arte- women owned one-of-a- kind art store with unique pieces. Check out some of her work- https://www.kundryravello.it/en/kundry-bottega-darte-products-ravello/
3. Clothing- Blu Mediterraneo is a boutique shop with locally sourced clothing for women.
4. Pizza- Mimi's Pizza is one of the best pizza spots in all of Amalfi.
5. Restaurants- Osteria Ravello is a great restaurant with a view of Ravello's countryside, specializing in seafood.
6. Olive oil tasting- Gusti & Delizie is a little shop owned by the cutest couple who curate the finest selection of wines, olive oil, balsamic, olives, local products, etc.
Positano is 45 minutes away and has great beaches, shopping, and bars/restaurants. There is a bus that goes from Ravello to Positano or you can take a taxi. Our favorite things to do in Positano:
1. Le Sirenuse Hotel - arguably the most famous hotel with a Michelin Star restaurant and one of the best sunset viewing cocktail and champagne terraces in all of Amalfi. Try and snag a table at Aldo (it's hard but you won't regret it:)
2. Music on the Rocks- only nightclub in Amalfi. Has a great bar upstairs if you are looking for something more low key.
3. Shopping- get lost in the streets and explore all the different shops. There's something for everyone.
4. Beach Clubs- lots of beach clubs in Positano if you want to rent a day bed. Go early or try and reserve online otherwise it's impossible.
Amalfi is a 15 minute drive from Ravello. Things to see include:
1. Duoglio and Santa Croce Beaches
2. The port and the arsenal
3. Piazza Dante, its fountains and the Amalfi Duomo (especially the cloister)
4. Amalfi’s meandering alleys and covered passages
Praiano is a 30 minute drive and is a cute little town nestled between Amalfi & Positano. Things to do in Praiano:
1. Beach- Visit the amazing beach called Gavitella Beach
2. Restaurant- One of our favorite restaurants in Amalfi- KASAI (seriously- we almost booked our welcome dinner here). Family owned, authentic fresh food and great water views.
3. Sunset cocktail- For the best sunset in all of the Amalfi coast, visit Voce 'e Notte Restaurant & Bar.
