FROM CANCUN AIRPORT TO THE REEF PLAYACAR You have several ways to get to The Reef Playacar-depending on whether you prefer convenience, budget, or flexibility: • Resort Shuttle (Recommended!)The Reef Playacar offers its own airport transfer service. You can add this when booking your room or arrange it separately : <a href="https://www.thereefresorts.com/local-experiences" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.thereefresorts.com/local-experiences</a> Tip: Reserve at least 48 hours in advance to guarantee availability. • Private TransferDirect and comfortable-perfect if you want to head straight to the resort without stops. Several companies offer this service, with prices starting around $85-$90 USD per vehicle (fits up to 6-8 passengers). • Shared ShuttleA budget-friendly option if you don't mind making a few stops on the way. Prices start at about $35-$40 USD per person. • Taxi / Car ServiceAvailable at the airport, but we recommend booking in advance to lock in a fair price. • Rental CarA good option if you're planning to explore beyond the resort.The drive to Playa del Carmen is simple and scenic. ALTERNATIVE AIRPORT While Cancun is the best option, there are two alternatives: • Cozumel International Airport (CZM):Located on Cozumel Island, about 35 km away. You'll need a short taxi ride to the ferry terminal, then a 45-minute ferry to Playa del Carmen. • Tulum International Airport (TQO): About 90 minutes south of Playa del Carmen.Flight options are limited, but it may work depending on your airline. ✨Our Recommendation: Fly into Cancún International Airport and either book the Resort Shuttle or a Private Transfer for the smoothest, stress-free arrival.
