Where to Stay
For guests staying out of town and want to experience all Denver has to offer, we recommend staying in inner-city neighborhoods. Those looking for great breweries, street art, and nightlife we recommend the RiNo neighborhood. For those wanting to be close to the action (and reception venue!) with underground bars and vintage shops we recommend South Broadway/Baker/West Wash Park neighborhoods. For those looking for glitzy shopping and fancy restaurants, Cherry Creek is a great option that is a short Uber away to the reception venue. To experience Denver like most 20 or 30-something's with great coffee shops, beautiful parks, and relaxed night vibes, Cap Hill is the perfect spot. If you love museums and want to have more downtown city vibes, Golden Triangle or Union Station allows you easy access to the DAM or MCA.
How To Get Around
We highly recommend taking the A Line train from the Airport to downtown Denver's Union Station. The train ride is $10 versus a $50-90 rideshare and is just as quick if not faster, during rush hour! Once downtown, you can explore the city and your RTD pass is good for 24-hours on all city buses and light rail lines. If staying in a central neighborhood, Denver is very accessible via public transit, particularly off of major streets like Broadway/Lincoln/ and Colfax. Depending on where you are staying, renting a car could be a great option, but some neighborhoods have challenging parking situations. If staying central, ride shares should be pretty quick and affordable. Let us know if you need advice!
Denver Weather
Weather in Denver can be tricky - early November could either be 70 degrees and gorgeous or 5 degrees and snowy. On average, expect high's in the high 50's/low 60's and low's in the 30's (snow is rare this early but can happen). Given our proximity to the Rocky Mountains, weather forecasts are hard to predict and can change quickly. We recommend checking the weather 2-4 days prior to flying in and again the day before leaving to make any packing changes. Layers, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are recommended as the sun can be intense at this altitude! Expect it to feel pretty warm (probably warmer than you think it is based on the temp on your phone) during the day IF there are clear sunny skies and a cold drop once the sun sets.
