Thanks to a social media post, we met through mutual friends in September of 2021. Although we met in 2021, we have always been near each other without even knowing. Vanessa grew up in North Carolina, but spent her summers in Millbrook with her grandparents for most of her life. Little did we know we were just a few streets away from each other! As we dated, we would find a few things here and there that we were connected to without knowing each other at the time!

Some of our hobbies include traveling (We have been to Greece, Vermont, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, & Mississippi), watching football (Roll Tide!), hiking (1st time we ever hiked was to a new place we had never been to, Red Mountain in Birmingham. We had no idea how far we had hiked until it was time to turn around and head back. We hiked 6 miles that day! We were both trying not to look exhausted around the other!), cooking (Vanessa more so than Kade. He has definitely improved. His favorite meal to make is hot Italian sausage pasta & Vanessa's is bam bam shrimp tacos!), and playing with Emmy!

We are excited to continue building our life together and are looking forward to what the future holds. Whether it's traveling to new destinations or simply enjoying each other's company at home, we know we can count on each other to make every moment special!
