Anthony and Vanessa’s story began at St. Cloud State University in early 2015, where a chance friendship quickly took root. When Vanessa returned home that summer and Anthony stayed in St. Cloud, neither could shake the memories they’d made together. By fall, they were spending every weekend exploring Minneapolis—catching concerts, sampling new restaurants, and wandering its vibrant streets side by side. A few months later, Vanessa made the move to Minneapolis for good, and on New Year’s Eve 2015, Anthony simply couldn’t imagine stepping into the new year without her—so he asked her to be his girlfriend, and she joyfully said yes.

They dove into life as a couple, moving in together almost immediately. Over the next several years, they called seven different apartments home, each one building on the love and laughter they shared, until finally settling into their first house in Roseville, MN, in 2022.

In 2020, their family grew with the arrival of Mack, their playful golden retriever, and two years later Miles joined the fun. Their days are brighter thanks to those two goofballs, and they can’t picture life without their loyal, wagging companions.

On their eight‑year anniversary—New Year’s Eve in Stillwater, MN—Anthony led Vanessa under a tunnel of twinkling lights and proposed. Though she said yes, Anthony couldn’t resist the chance to make it perfect: he recreated the moment with a heartfelt speech back at the hotel and even shared it once more on stage at a local bar, ensuring every part of his proposal reflected how deeply he cares.

Some of their happiest memories include spontaneous vacations, cozy dinner dates, outdoor movie nights under the stars, backyard grilling sessions, adventures at the drive‑in, and dancing together at music festivals. They look forward each year to their camping trip in Grand Marais, the excitement of the Minnesota State Fair, and celebrating Valentine’s Day or their anniversary in charming Stillwater.
