The picture above is from our first date!

Our story began in September of 2017 when we met working at UCI. We quickly became friends who shared a passion for sarcasm, food, games, and fun.

Fast forward to 2019 when Vanessa looked for any excuse to visit the IT office where Robert worked, and he soon joined the staff volleyball team Vanessa was coaching (gee, I wonder why!), which was the beginning of our flirtationship that involved spending 3+ days a week hanging out - at the gym, game nights, or going out for food and drinks with friends.

And so, Robnessa officially became a couple as of

September 2019!

We seamlessly integrated into each other's lives with our friends and families having regular get togethers with us, and you all could see that we were meant to be.

On a spontaneous trip to Greece and Turkey, it was in Kusadasi's ancient city of Ephesus, in the library of Celsus on August 15th, 2023 that Robert proposed and we were engaged!

While we have enjoyed our 5 years officially together, it has been this past year as fiancés navigating our graduate school graduations, numerous life celebrations, and our upcoming wedding with all of YOU that we are ready to become
