Alex & Vassi met in the fall of 2017, shortly after they began optometry school in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The two quickly bonded over their love for good food, good music and a great party. They spent countless late nights in the library studying, hanging on the couch watching MXC, and bopping around downtown Fort Lauderdale with their new group of friends. Thick as thieves. They even made the joint decision to have Alex buy a dog during finals weeks - for group serotonin (Shoutout Snoop). As the first year of optometry school came and went, Al & Vass were "friends" looking to move out of their living situations and decided to try "roommates" on for fit. We all know how that story goes.....

After a very short month of living together and clumsily falling in love, they realized that "soulmates" actually fit best into their story. A lot happened over the next 5 years -- they graduated optometry school, had many more roommates and lived in many more apartments, underwent long distance while Vassi pursued residency in Memphis and Alex began his career in Fort Lauderdale, became professional wedding guests supporting the large & loving community they built around them, and went on a once in a lifetime trip (twice for Al) to Thailand, where they got engaged. If you ask the couple, they'd tell you their favorite part of it all was being able to share the people they love with each other and watch them grow to love them, too.
