TAKING THE PICTURE

The official wedding picture is hard to take in Amsterdam...just no space.

So we try and get everyone photographed as one big chunk as soon as everyone arrives at the big stairs of the Royal Tropical Institute before dinner.



There will first be drinks in the KIT&nbsp;BINNENTUIN or (bad weather) Radszaal and at 6.30h-ish a line up on the great stairs on Mauritskade 63.

Attire/Dresscode

FridayDroog is a design and fashion place. Come as you feel comfortable and leave ties etc. at home.SaturdayDaylight: formal, but fashion first.Moonlight: black tie/ball gown can be an option. But if it hinders your funky swings, it just has to stay at home.High heels: Get ya comfy shoes in case of doubt. There will be no surprise mercy Badeschlappen-Verteilaktion... :)

Food

If you have serious food allergies, tell us in advance and please name a food you can eat instead. There won't be any buffet. So vegetarians, fruitarians and lactose intolerants, please step forward :)

Childcare/Kleuters/Kinder

If you want to have a seat where your baby can be with you anytime, tell us early.You can bring the toothing monster to all parts of the wedding, of course :)If you need childcare, we are happy to organize it...if we can. Where can I stay??

Finding a hotel

Dear guests, 

We booked several hotel rooms (scroll to bottom), which are mainly meant for emergency candidates if you really cannot find anything in an okay price range.

In general there is ample choice of rooms in Amsterdam. Also check AirBnB as smaller places tend to rent out via this platform only.

May is high tourist season and it can become very expensive if you book late.

Should you need advice however, we are there to help find the right spot for you.

Here are some suggestions:

 

1. I will be late for church if I don't sleep next door:

Royal Tropical Institute is 1km East of Desmet.Please do not consider coming by car to Amsterdam. It is a nightmare! Parking costs a fortune.Take the plane and train or tram. You will save nerves and money. All venues are in walking/cycling distance to the central station.
