What's the vibe of the wedding?
We’re getting married in our backyard and can’t wait to celebrate with you! Expect a relaxed outdoor evening with tacos, lawn games, music, and lots of time to mingle. Think summer garden party meets backyard fiesta.
Where exactly is the wedding?
Our ceremony and reception will both take place at our home in McHenry, Illinois. The address is listed on the invitation — just pop it into your GPS and it will bring you right to the Glacial Ridge neighborhood.
Where should I park?
There is free street parking throughout our neighborhood, and we’ve cleared everything with the City of McHenry.
We live on a corner lot with a cul-de-sac behind us, which should provide plenty of nearby parking.
Please do not park in our driveway so we can keep it open for vendors.
Will there be transportation?
We won’t be arranging transportation to and from the wedding, but Uber and other rideshare services are readily available in the area and are usually easy to find. If you’re planning to enjoy the festivities, we encourage using a rideshare or arranging a safe ride home.
What kind of food will be served?
Dinner will be tacos and Mexican-inspired sides served casually throughout the evening.
Taco options will include:
• steak
• chicken
• pork
• veggie
We won’t have a formal plated dinner — guests can grab food whenever they’re hungry.
Are kids welcome?
Yes! We love our families — and that absolutely includes the little ones. We’ll also have yard games and space to play throughout the evening.
Can I bring a plus one?
If your invitation includes a guest name, they are absolutely welcome to join you. Otherwise, we kindly ask that guests attend solo. Thank you for understanding!
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes please! You can RSVP directly through this website.
Kindly respond by Friday, May 15.
What happens if it rains?
Rain or shine, we’ll still be celebrating! We’ll have a large tent with sides and event flooring so everyone stays dry and comfortable.
And honestly, a little rain just means extra good luck — after all, a wet knot is harder to untie.
Is the wedding accessible?
Because the celebration is in our backyard, some areas are on grass and uneven ground.
If anyone is unable to access the restroom trailer, guests are welcome to use the first-floor bathroom inside our home.
If you have any accessibility concerns, please reach out and we’ll do our best to help.
Do you have a hotel block?
We won’t have a formal hotel block, but we’ve shared Airbnb and local accommodation recommendations in the Travel section of the website.
Do you have a registry?
Yes! Our registry can be found in the REGISTRY tab of this website.
Who should I contact if I have questions?
Feel free to reach out to either of us if anything comes up. We’re so excited to celebrate with you!
