The timeline for Robert and Veronica to come together took many years, various forms of social media and perfect timing. Here's how it happened.
2015-2016
Robert and Veronica both were attending Niagara University when they met, all thanks to groomsmen David Carter. Veronica was a Residence Advisor at the university and one night, while wearing a UNC shirt, Carter started a conversation with her as he was a huge fan of their basketball team as well. After speaking for a little, Carter invited Veronica to watch one of the games in his room which him, which she accepted. The two were watching the game when Carter's roommate came back. This roommate happened to be Robert. Over the next few remaining months of the school year, Robert, Veronica, Carter and many others became friends and started hanging out and became good friends. There were many memories of partying in the dorm room, or going to Canada and slight flirting that never led anywhere. Granted, both Robert and Veronica were seeing other people during this time frame.
The summer came and Robert had opted to leave Niagara in order to pursue his military career. That same summer, Veronica was accepted into an internship that would put her in NYC for the summer, which allowed Robert and Veronica to hang out once, at the zoo (one of Robert's favorite places) before he left for the military. This was where Veronica met groomsmen Dillon and Max for the first time.
2016-2017
The summer ended, Robert had left for the Army and Veronica had returned to Niagara to complete her senior year. The two had not talked since the zoo trip and the two were leading very separate lives. When Veronica was about to graduate, she was informed she was accepted into a corporate program that would send her to San Antonio, Texas. While scrolling through Twitter one day, she noticed that Robert had put a post about San Antonio as well. Curiosity set in and Veronica decided to message Robert on Twitter asking why he was talking about Texas, and it turned out that Robert was also going to be there during the same time Veronica would be.
At this time, both Robert and Veronica were living in Texas. One day, Veronica messaged Robert on Facebook asking to hang out. Robert excitedly agreed and mentioned where they could meet, unfortunately, Robert never answered Veronica when she asked what time, so the two never got together.
2018-2020
The two went separate ways once again and had not talked in some time. Then one day, Carter and Robert were talking about their old friends and had mentioned Veronica. The both agreed neither had talked to her in some time, so Robert decided to start a group call on Snapchat that night. Veronica answered and the group talked for some time that night before all getting off the call. Veronica saw her opportunity.
With some liquid courage, and fact she had been single for some time, she decided to message Robert through Snapchat after the call had ended. The two were able to connect quickly and started catching up. Veronica told Robert how she was also joining the Army via the Reserves and Robert talked about how he was currently stationed in Korea.
From this moment on, the two were inseparable. Talking at all hours of the day to account for the drastic time difference between NY and Korea, but they made it work.
The two had not seen each other since that summer in NYC, but they didn't care. They started dating anyways. Spending hours upon hours on Facetime, virtually meeting each others new friends, planning virtual date nights, and learning how to navigate a very long distance relationship.
2022 to Today
After 580 days of being apart, and only getting to spend a few days here and there together in person, the two were finally together and able to start their life
