Our Wedding

We were both athletes for our alma mater, Seton Hill University. We had friends on our respective teams who had said to each of us that they thought we would “fit well together,” so they set us up! We first met in a group setting, then we got to hanging out together, watching The Office in empty classrooms, chatting in the library as study breaks, and visiting each other in our dorms. The day before we each went home, we talked and agreed that we both wanted to keep seeing each other over the summer. We had two dates, officially became a couple on June 2nd, 2019, and the rest has been history! :)

Hi! I am Randi Johns, Ronnie’s younger sister. It was such a blessing to grow up with Ronnie because I always had someone in my corner. Even though it gets on our nerves when people ask if we are twins, I guess it is because we compliment each other so well. Ronnie is a wonderful older sister, role model, and friend. I am so happy for her and Danny.

I’m Lauren Williams, I met Ronnie when my big brother brought her home almost 6 years ago, and since that day she has been the most perfect addition to our family. It has been such a privilege watching Danny and Ronnie grow over the years and create such a beautiful life filled with so much love. I feel so unbelievably lucky to call them family and I can’t wait to stand beside Ronnie as she officially becomes my sister.

Hello! My name is Jessie, and I am currently a genetic counseling grad student at UTHealth in Houston, Texas. I first met Ronnie when I was 3; our moms met at the Bethel Park Public Library. In elementary school, we did Girl Scouts, the YMCA Princess program, soccer, summer swim team, theater with Miss Donna, and pretended to be The Incredibles in Ronnie’s backyard (Ronnie was ALWAYS Violet). In middle school, we had various adventures ranging from days at Kennywood, to sleepovers, to making silly videos in the basement. In high school, we struggled through AP Calc and other difficult classes together and continued to grow our friendship. In college, I remember Ronnie called me freaking out that this guy she just started seeing was “too nice” for her. “This guy” ended up being Danny (that’s Ronnie for you), and now, here we are, gathering for their wedding!

I was lucky enough to be assigned as Ronnie's mentor in PA school. Within a short time, she became a wonderful friend of mine. We both leaned on each other and learned a lot from each other. She's incredibly smart and kind. A fantastic PA and a great friend. She was an irreplaceable part of my wedding as a bridesmaid. I am so excited to be a part of her and Danny's wedding day. I think that God puts some people in your life at the right place and the right time. I'm so glad that our paths crossed. Now let's get this girl married!

Hi, I’m Chase Baxa and I’ve known Danny since first grade. We have shared every experience together including drawing comics in elementary school, the awkward teenage years, college sports, and relationships. It was obvious after he introduced me to Ronnie that they were perfect for each other. Watching them grow together in the past 5 years from college to buying their own house together has been really special. I can’t wait to celebrate these two with everyone as they enter the next phase in their lives.

Chase Baxa

Dan and I moved into Brownlee Hall over 7 years ago and he’s been a brother to me ever since. We came into college unsure of what to expect and not knowing anybody, but we found our way together and bonded through long days of baseball, pumping iron, playing fortnite, going out on the town, and going to classes together. I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with Dan and Ronnie since they’ve first met, all the time in the dorms, and now visiting them in Pittsburgh, and I couldn’t think of a better match for each other!

Danny and I met in 2017 as freshman at Seton Hill University. Playing baseball together and living in the same house throughout those four years created a relationship - a brotherhood - between the two of us that I value greatly. We’ve shared countless memories of both failures and successes but have always supported each other through the thick and thin. I cannot wait to share the memory of this holy matrimony and to witness my friend marrying the best person this life has ever given him.

When I met Dan our Freshman year of college I would say in my perspective, that he had a very eccentric personality. From the corny jokes to wearing socks to bed, I was not sure how to take him at first. It did not take long for me to gravitate to his charismatic and easygoing attitude. We have spent countless hours together throughout our years at college for which I could never forget, nor take for granted. I have gotten to know Ronnie better in the last few years while she and Dan have been living together. It is easy to see how they are a match with their hardworking and admirable way of life.
