About B

Hi there. I'm Bryan. I'm the groom. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio. For those that know and grew up with me you’ll know that I am a lifelong outdoor enthusiast. My happy place is being outside, sometimes by the water and more recently by some fruit trees. I grew up with a passion for fishing, something gifted to me by my father, and for the largest part of my life it has been what defined me as a person. It's taught me the skill to handle life, to respect it and understand that it is precious and sacred. In my life, I’ve fished in various bodies of waters ranging from creeks and rivers to bays and oceans within the United States, Japan, Mexico, and Canada. My favorite fishing style often involves presenting lures to Largemouth Bass in freshwater lakes and deepwater Rockfish and saltwater bass in the ocean. Fishing is special to me and continues to provide for me and my family.

I also enjoy cultivating rare tropical and deciduous fruit trees. It is my most dedicated hobby. I grow mangos, papayas, bananas, lychee, cherimoya, stone fruits, citrus, and more. Fun fact, I have more than 20 varieties of mangoes and hybrid mango species growing in my backyard. I dare say that I may be the only guy with such species in the LA county area. In a few years I'll probably be growing the most mangoes in my entire city!

I also enjoy strength training. I regularly train with heavy kettlebells, clubbells, and sandbags. Movement of my body has been a lifelong expression of who I am. I grew up on watching action films and martial arts and always wanted to be one of those badass guys on the TV. And, while that is a path that I won’t ever walk, I can throw around some decent weight and contort myself into some near superhuman positions. All the movement has helped with staying pain free and performing at my day job as an Oncology Nurse!

I am a decent cook. For a couple years I baked artisan bread and became pretty skilled at it, often making Ciabatta, French baguettes, and rustic country loaves. Honestly, I have had so much quality bread that I’ve become a bit of a bread snob!

Finally, I am honored to be able to call Veronica my wife. She is my world and she has helped me mature and grow during the last couple years we've been together. She allows me to be my most authentic self. It is truly a blessing that I remind myself of frequently. I am grateful for her and I cannot wait to see what our life becomes.

Thank you!
