How we met? First I have to start with I am not sure when Mario came home from the Army? But I would see him around often and joke around by saying I’ll be going to his mom, Teresia’s house for dinner one day! So on some random day during the spring of 1995, is when we officially met; but how we first met depends on which one of us you ask.
Mario would say I asked him to dance at one of Dion’s house parties. I seriously do not think that happened; because I do not think I have ever asked some one to dance!
I would say it was a Saturday night in May of 1995, when Amy and I were heading to the Rusty Nail! We saw him walking and we picked him up on the corner of 6th and main st. and we all went out. I can’t say I remember much about that night except we talked until morning. What stands out the most to me is when Amy, Mario, Karrie and Leary Walker came to pick me up at work one random Saturday in the summer of 1995; and told me Blomquist was Dj’n a party and we were going. Mario and I were still talking and hanging out but we were not in a relationship at this point. The party ended up being in Dunkirk and I was not comfortable being in Dunkirk at this time. I told Mario I was not okay with being in Dunkirk and Why. He said don’t worry I got you, and all night no matter where I was, inside or outside I was in his in eye sight. He watched over me and made sure I was safe; 27 years later he continues to do the same.
