The Venue

Kennedy Space Center - Visitor Complex

photo

Kennedy Space Center is America's primary spaceport - hosting all of the federal government's human spaceflights from US soil since the 1960s, as well as several private launches, both crewed and uncrewed. It's a mecca for space exploration, and the Visitor Complex seeks to share that resulting knowledge with the world. It's an expansive campus located at Space Commerce Way, Merritt Island, FL, 32953. Although the address may look like a typo, it's not. They don't have a street number due to their location on federal property. However, if you type "Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex" into your navigation, we promise it'll take you to the right place!

We highly encourage everyone to spend a day here while in town. There's a ton to see and do, and much of that access will be limited during the wedding since it's after standard operating hours.

Our celebration will be held at the "Debus" venue and include access to the adjacent rocket garden. Once through security, you'll make a left, heading towards the building that says "Heroes and Legends" on it. Follow the lower path around the corner until you see cocktail tables. Weather permitting, the evening will start with an outdoor vow renewal (6pm) among the rockets and continue into a cocktail hour. The reception will be held indoors with access to the rocket garden as desired!

Important Security Note

This event is taking place on federal property, meaning there are more rules than most venues. You'll have to go through a TSA-style security. No weapons of any kind are allowed, even if you have a permit - zero exceptions. They also don't allow outside food or beverage. (Lucky for you, we'll have a buffet and multiple open bars, so you're covered on this front!) There are a handful of other restricted items, such as large travel bags and wrapped items that can't be inspected. Please plan accordingly. If you're concerned about a specific item, or if you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to reach out!
