Our Wedding

We'd like to thank the two matchmakers - Nancy and Bob Fredrickson and that first dinner at their house in August 2021. After a few dates and some fun times together, things really picked up when Veronica asked Jim if he'd like to go on a vacation together. Jim said yes and they were off to Costa Rica after dating for four months. Trips to Puerto Nuevo, June Lake, a Nashville/Memphis/Kentucky trifecta, Cabo and Boston, along with jaunts to No. Cal and Del Mar and Santa Anita have kept us busy since then, as well as seeing some great concerts over the past four years.Jim popped the question at Aloha Steakhouse in November of 2024, and a fun Thanksgiving trip to Monterrey soon followed with an engagement ring on her finger!!Unfortunately, we've both had to deal with the loss of loved ones, but we'd like to think that our relationship became stronger as we were able to weather these tough times together.

We have blocked 10 rooms at Four Points by Sheraton at a rate of $204.00 per night, 2 night minimum. To take advantage of this option please contact them directly at 805.658.1212 for IN HOUSE GROUP RESERVATIONS. You will need to mention "O'Day/Barrick Room Block" for discounted rates. This must be done by June 29th. 
IF WE HAVE MORE THAN 10 ROOMS BOOKED AT FOUR POINTS, WE WILL ARRANGE A SHUTTLE TO/FROM THE WEDDING VENUE.
We will work with Four Points if more than 10 rooms are requested, to increase the block discounted rate. If you stay at the Sheraton please let me know so I can work on booking a shuttle.

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Crowne Plaza Hotel Ventura Beach offers a heated outdoor pool and a restaurant. You can relax on the furnished terrace complete with a fire pit and ocean views. A balcony with ocean views is featured in each air-conditioned guest room. A flat-screen TV with cable offers entertainment. A calming aromatherapy kit is provided. At Crowne Plaza Hotel Ventura Beach you will find a fitness center. If you prefer to exercise outdoors, you can jog along the 8 mi long boardwalk. NOM Tequila Grill, located within the hotel, offers outdoor seating and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can order meals &amp; drinks from Aqua Beachfront Bar and dine poolside. Located 7 minutes’ walk from San Buenaventura State Beach, Ventura Beach Marriot features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Each air-conditioned room at this hotel features a flat-screen cable TV with extended channels, a mini-refrigerator and a coffee machine. Premium bath products are provided in each private bathroom. Ventura Beach Marriott has a tour desk to assist guests. Guests can work out in the on-site fitness center. Ventura Beach Marriott is 5 minutes’ drive from Marina Village Shopping Center. Ventura Pier is 3 minutes’ drive away.

This Ventura Harbor Holiday Inn Express offers modern rooms equipped with a flat-screen TV and free WiFi. It features an on-site gym and Emma Wood State Beach is 2.4 miles away. All spacious rooms at this hotel include a refrigerator and microwave. A large work desk and comfortable seating area are provided in each room and studio rooms offer a jetted tub and kitchenette. The Holiday Inn Express Hotel &amp; Suites Ventura Harbor offers meeting rooms and a 24/7 business center. This hotel is within 1 mile of Olivas Park Golf Course and Oxnard Airport is a 12-minute drive away. Just 1.3 miles from the hotel is boat access to Channel Islands National Park, offering whale watching tours and kayaking.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Ventura by IHG

Located off Highway 101, this Oxnard, California hotel is 10.6 miles from Ventura Harbor. It features an outdoor pool with hot tub, a 24 hour business center and guest rooms with free Wi-Fi. Hilton Garden Inn Oxnard/Camarillo provides each room with a flat-screen cable TV with HBO. They are furnished with a microwave, refrigerator and coffee making amenities. Every room is decorated with wood furniture. Guests have access to the on-site gym and 24 hour convenience store at the hotel. Oxnard Hilton Garden Inn Camarillo also offers 2,020 square feet of meeting space. The Point Mugu Nas is 8.8 miles away.
