As some of you may know Kyle and I met at a bar, Richard's Bar. He'd been at Dave Harbarger's bachelor party and I at Lollapalooza. I'm sure we had no business being out but gladly we were.
Marwin was a regular at Richard's that I'd catch up with when there (that might also mean I was somewhat of a regular.) I love this place! From the music on the jukebox to the cotton top bartenders all named "Bobby", there's just something about it. You're guaranteed to have a great time. On the night we met, I ran into Marwin, and as we were catching up, Kyle walked by. Marwin saw him, immediately stopped him and told us that we needed to meet. He said we would "get along great" and that Kyle "was a really nice guy." Fast forward to today, and here we are. Marwin was right!
Our assumption is Kyle and Marwin chatted because of their facial hair, but honestly, no one really knows the truth.
We return to Richard's on the anniversary of the night we met. Since that night, Marwin had vanished without a trace into the fog of legend. That was until our 3rd anniversary this past August. Entering Richard's, a familiar bearded face was seated at the bar. We couldn't believe it could actually be him. After a little liquid courage, we approached him and told him our story. He was both shocked and honored to have played such a pivotal role in our lives. We snapped this picture before toasting our reunion with the ghost of Marwin. He may never be seen again.
