Travel

We suggest flying into San Diego Airport on Friday and leaving Sunday night or Monday if you plan to attend all three events. The airport is about 45 minutes from Oceanside (site of the Welcome Dinner and Beach Day) and an hour from Fallbrook (the location of our wedding venue). You can also fly into LAX and take the Pacific Surfliner train from Los Angeles Union Station to Oceanside—a scenic two-hour ride.

Accommodations

Consider staying in Oceanside or Carlsbad if you’ll be at all events. Check out our recommended hotels below or book an Airbnb in these areas!

Transportation

• Rental Car: Ideal for exploring the San Diego area or if you’re staying outside Oceanside/Carlsbad.

• Shuttles: We’ll provide shuttle service from The Mission Pacific Hotel in Oceanside to our wedding venue, The Grand Tradition, in Fallbrook. Please let us know if you plan to use the shuttle so we can adequately prepare. Shuttle times TBD.

• Uber/Lyft: Great for short trips between Oceanside, Carlsbad, and our event locations if you don't plan to rent a car. There are also a few hotels and AirBnbs in Oceanside that are walking distance to the Welcome Dinner and Beach Day locations (see recommended hotels below)

Getting to Oceanside/Carlsbad from San Diego

• Uber/Lyft: Fastest route from the airport to your hotel or Bnb.

• Train: Take The Coaster from the Old Town Transit Center to the Oceanside Transit Center or Carlsbad Village Center (about an hour).

• Carpool: Coordinate with other guests if possible!
