After meeting online, Kevin & Roni shared a first date one month later at Coopers Hawk on January 11, 2022. Roni (AKA V) had left her ID in her suitcase and was called out by the waitress as they shared their first laugh.

Kevin: I felt confident. She was the one.

Roni: I almost canceled. Turns out I had COVID. Im so happy I didn't.

From that day forward, it was a swift love story. Kevin was introduced to his future sons (dogs), Ajax and Wesson, shortly after. Wesson quickly fell in love and has become Kevins best friend, forgetting who rescued him from the streets.

Kevin: Roni tried calling the dogs outside and they just would not seem to listen. Wesson instead jumped up on the couch, cuddled up next to me, and gave me a kiss. He has been attached to my hip since.

Roni: It was so easy to see him in my life because of how he loved my pups. When we first started dating, I swore he wanted to hang out with them as much as to see me.

They started introducing each other to friends and family. She met his brother/ best-man, Ryan, and sister-in-law/maid of honor, for the first time at a baseball game. They also took trip to her hometown, Edwardsville, where he met her family.

Kevin: She was reluctant and nervous to meet my family. Naturally, I sat her right down next to my brother while I went to grab drinks at the baseball game. I think my exact words were good luck! She got the Cassie-and-Ryan stamp of approval. Ever since then, each person she met has had the same reaction.

Roni: I was so nervous I spilt beer on my white shirt. I snuck away to buy a new shirt on a bathroom break. I don't think anyone even noticed. His family was so welcoming, it made me feel at home.

Fast forward to April 16, 2022, Kevin and Roni went paddle boarding at Canyon Lake. They set up a picnic with a canopy right next to the lake and enjoyed a day in the sun exploring the canyon bends.

Roni: I was so excited to get outdoors! We had to rent him a paddle board last minute because my extra one is pink - I didn't think he would go for that. The lake had so many dead fish, but it was such a beautiful day so we didn't care. We were sitting by the lake, hand-in-hand, and he so sweetly asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course, I was ecstatic and said yes!

Kevin: If she said no, it would have been a long drive home.

Together, the two shared in the love of friends and family celebrating eight weddings, three births, and countless laughs while learning more about each other through those most important in the others life. They celebrated her graduation. They celebrated him becoming an international soccer champion. They learned they both shared a love for singing karaoke in the car and they learned that this is a special, once in a lifetime love.

Roni: My friends love him. My family loves him. I couldn't help but fall in love with him. My dad constantly checks in to make sure I'm being nice to Kevin. He was my missing puzzle piece and fits right into my family. He makes me happy. It's as simple as that.

On September 29, 2023, husband & wife duo, Sarah & T, groomsman & bridesmaid, came to Arizona for a very special visit. What Roni didn't know, was that this was no ordinary visit and there were many more visitors than these two friends. Kevin had planned a dinner at Prado where he proposed to Roni in front of the beautiful surrounding landscape of Camelback Mountain in front of the courtyard fountain. She said yes! To follow was another surprise at the Vig where an engagement party was waiting for celebrations with her parents, his parents, and joined by their closest friends.

Kevin: I was freaking out the entire time. It was incredibly hard to keep this a secret after months of planning and coordinating with everyone. My heart was pounding the entire time.

Roni: I was utterly astonished and speechless. When he first popped a knee, I thought he was joking. Then he pulled out a ring and I couldn't find any words to say while the happiest tears streamed down my face. It was a whirlwind and the happiest day of my life. My mom wasn't answering her phone and little to my knowledge it was because she was already here ready to celebrate with us.

They have planned the wedding of their dreams and are excited to celebrate their love with you on their special night.
