My late husband passed away from COVID, Saturday morning, July 31st 2021. After 15 years of wonderfully marriage, and living in Apison, TN for 8 of those years.&nbsp;Going on a trip with my work Jesus for Asia, we had turned it into a family trip across the US.&nbsp;But on the way back the entire family did not do so well, and came down with COVID.&nbsp;A week after we returned home the family got well, except for my loving Edward.

Bobby

After 17 years of a loving marriage Katrina passed from breast cancer August 31st 2022 at our home in Switz City, Indiana. After kidney failure and a successful transplant.&nbsp;A few years later she came down with breast cancer.&nbsp;After several rounds chemo, and radiation.&nbsp;Her cancer metastasized into her lungs and spine.&nbsp;

Our Story

From Bobby's perspective: One morning waking up with tears in my eyes. I realized I just needed someone I could talk to who truly understood my loss and feelings. After five months, I felt God was telling me it was time, leading me to open an account on Christian Mingle. The next thing I knew, I was hovering over the search button, not knowing what it would return. I put in the search criteria of a Seventh-day Adventist, a widowed mother with children. Finally, gaining enough courage to search, I did. Only one result was returned. And that was Veronica. What do I say? I thought, what do I need? All I really wanted was someone to talk to. So, I messaged Veronica just that. I told her I also had lost my spouse, and I was interested in finding someone to talk to and share my feelings of loss. I was hoping she could share the same. Unknown to me at the time, Veronica had been seeing someone else, and just the day before, she had uplifted a prayer that if God didn't want her in her current relationship, he would send someone else. Within a day of that prayer, she got my text. We texted each other for weeks. I had gone on a family trip to Florida and was sending her pictures of my family, and she was sending me pictures of hers. Then, we started talking and sharing more of our struggles and emotions. She and the kids came up for a visit to see me when we had a birthday party for me. That's when we went out on our first date, March 18th, 2023. Now, one year later, we are getting remarried as one. Since then, we have prayed together, cried together about our loss, and held strong that God has something new in store for us. We understand that we will always love those we lost and that one day, we will see them and be with them again.
