Jeremy and I met in August 2021 at a country music festival (Winstock). It was Jeremy’s first time at Winstock. It had been about 10 years since I last went to Winstock but my friend won free tickets in 2021 so I decided to go again. Jeremy and his friends were sitting right behind me and my friends. We started talking that night and have talked almost every day since. There is probably only a handful of days that we haven’t talked either in person or on the phone.

Since we lived 3 hours away from each other (and in different states), we had to rely on these phone calls to get to know each other. One thing we both agreed on from day one is that the other was very easy to talk to. Sometimes we would talk on the phone for hours. We can talk about anything and actually have a lot of the same interests.

Our first date was the Sunday after Winstock. Jeremy rode his motorcycle to MN, picked me up and we went to see the “Largest Ball of Twine” in Darwin, MN. We walked and talked for a couple hours and he rode back home again. This long-distance relationship continued to grow as we continued our daily phone calls / texts and weekend visits with one of us traveling the 6 hour round trip sometimes just for the day. All of this back and forth was getting exhausting so in the summer of 2023, I moved in with Jeremy to Flandreau, SD where we now call home.

On our vacation to Mexico in February 2024, Jeremy got down on one knee on the beach and asked me to marry him. I was surprised and so happy that it brought me to tears!

We both feel so blessed to have found each other and are excited to spend the rest of our lives together creating new memories and enjoying the simple things in life...together.
