I've wanted a dog for as long as I can remember. I spent a lot of time dogsitting other people's dogs around the city. I've even flown to Nashville and San Francisco to dogsit my friends' dog, but something was always missing.

I wanted to be someone's favorite. Eventually my friend convinced me that everything was never going to be perfect and that I needed to stop waiting around. At this point, even my therapist was telling me I should do it.

All that was needed was for the money to come together. I spent one year slowly buying everything I needed for a dog. She was definitely not a spontaneous decision; she was carefully thought out and planned for so that when the time came I was ready for her.

FINALLY, Finley was born. She was only 3lbs when I got her, and she was....A B!TCH. She still is, rebellious, demanding and as hard headed as her mother, but I love her all the same. She's brought me so much happiness and joy, and I love sharing her with anybody who's willing to listen. If you're here, I hope she's brought you joy too because honestly there's no way I'm going to stop showing her off. Get used to it!
