Our Wedding

We are from different parts of the world, but fate and a little bit of luck led us to meet in London, January 2018. In December 2019 we got engaged in the rainforest in Tobago. You can check out a little bit of our history below ☺️

Our Story

For travellers from Austria (wie komma da hin)

As you all know, travelling has changed since we started to organise this wedding, and so has the wedding date (July 9 2022 is the final one!). The route we had in mind (Graz-Frankfurt, Frankfurt-Tobago) is currently not an option. This does not mean, however, that flights via this route will become available till July.Status today, the best route to go to paradise (=Tobago) is via London using British Airways. They have currently very affordable flights for July 2022! We have the villas booked from July 5 (=Tuesday) to July 12 (=Tuesday) to be aligned withthese flights. The flight on July 5 leaves London Gatwick at 10:45 and lands in Tobago at 16:00 (same day as your flying west). It is a direct flight with one stop in Antigua (just sitting in the plane for 1 h). The problem is; There are no good connection flights from Austria the same day, i.e., it is not possible to travel to London Gatwick from Austria before 10:45. Hence, it might be a nice idea to visit London or Canterbury (happy to host/recommend accommodation) for 1-2 days and have a relaxed trip to Tobago the next day.&nbsp;On the way back things are easier, meaning there are flights to Vienna the same day. If this sounds like a plan we would recommend to book the flights to Tobago ASAP and worry about the transfer to and from London later.<a href="https://www.britishairways.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.britishairways.com</a>London Gatwick = LGWTobago airport = TAB (Note that POS is on Trinidad the main island)&nbsp; Wie ihr ja mitbekommen habt hat sich “Reisen” veraendert seit dem wir diese Hochzeit planen, nciht zuletzt deshalb haben wir die Hochzeit erneut verschoben. Der dismal wirklich finale Hochzeitstermin ist der 9 July 2022.&nbsp;Die Route an die wir urspruenglich gedacht hatten (Graz-Frankfurt, Frankfurt-Tobago) gibt es leider zur Zeit nicht, was nicht heisst das es sie nicht wieder geben wird bis Juli 2022.Stand heute ist der beste Weg ein Flug von British Airways ueber London and den wir auch die Villenbuchungen angepasst haben, Juli 5 (=Dienstag) bis Juli 12 (=Dienstag). Abflug am 5ten Juil ware 10:45 von London Gatwick mit Ankunft in Tobago um 16:00 am selben Tag, da man ja gegen Westen fliegt. Leider gibt es jedoch keinen Flug aus Oesterrich am selben Tag mit dem man diesen Flug erwischen kann. Daher empfehlen wir einen 1-2 Tage Aufenthalt in London oder Canterbury. Lasst uns wissen ob das eine Option fuer euch ist und wir organisieren etwas. Der Rueckflug sollte einfacher sein, da der Flieger frueh genug in London ankommt um es noch am gleichen Tag nach Oesterreich zu schaffen.Wenn das eine Option fuer euch ist empfehlen wir so bald wie moeglich den Flug nach Tobago zu buchen (es gibt aktuell sehr guenstige Angebote) und sich (falls noetig) spaeter um die Verbindung nach London zu kuemmern.<a href="https://www.britishairways.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.britishairways.com</a>London Gatwick = LGWTobago airport = TAB (Beachte: POS ist auf Trinidad, der Hauptinsel)

Accommodation (wo schlaf'ma) 

Since the wedding will take place in the ocean-front villas in Tobago Plantations, there will be space to stay in these villas (which we have already booked for 1 week). There is, however, not enough space for all guests, which is why we will get in touch with people expressing interest to stay in the villas. We will also suggest some hotels - where we will get a good deal. We will keep you posted, updates latest by February 2022. If you want to stay longer than 1 week (in Tobago or the Caribbean), let us know too. Happy to make some recommendations!&nbsp;Die Hochzeit findet ja in 2 Villen direct am Meer statt. Dort gibt es natuerlich auch Schlafmoeglichkeiten, wenn auch nicht fuer alle Hochzeitsgaeste (gibt hier wohl einen Oesterreicherbonus). Bezueglich der Villen reden wir uns noch zusammen! Es wird auch Hotels geben - wo auch immer wir einen guten Deal bekommen. Im Februar 2022 werden wir mehr wissen. Travel

There will be plenty of things to do, but all you need to do is enjoy paradise on earth. We are currently organising a few trips to some amazing beaches and activities. Details will follow before we all see each other on the island. Important note: No stress! All will be relaxed and easy. We are surrounded by amazing scenery and we just want all of you to enjoy the island at your individual pace.Snorkeling masks are highly recommended though ;)...and doing nothing at all is an option too.Below is a flavour of some suggestions:

Hiking and bird watching (yes, that's a thing and people do come to Tobago just from that 😉)

Ahh, yes!! Our rehearsal dinner and welcome party 🥂🥂.This is something we plan to do before the wedding as a first get together of our families and friends on Friday 8 July. We look forward to seeing you then! ☺️ Start time: 6pm

Things to Do

So, what is there to say about the ceremony and reception? We are currently working on all the details. We will have good food from all around the world (we mean mostly Austrian and Trini food), and we will have music, a bar, and some place to party. That should be all that needed to have a great celebration.
