We first crossed paths at Virginia Tech, living in the same engineering dorm and even sharing a class our freshman year—but we never actually spoke. It wasn’t until junior year, when a mutual friend brought our friend groups together for game nights, that we really got to know each other.

That fall, we became fast friends, laughing through countless rounds of board games. What we didn’t know at the time was that we were each telling our families about the other—Victor confessing that he had a crush but was nervous to make a move, and Maddie sharing about a sweet, funny guy she hoped might like her too.

Our first unofficial "date" came when Maddie invited Victor over to watch a movie they had talked about. (Victor only realized it might be a date when he was getting ready to go over to her apartment!) Not long after, he officially asked her out, and the rest is history.

Since then, we’ve loved spending time together exploring new adventures—rock climbing, taking dance lessons, hiking, cooking, and even tackling engineering projects side by side. We can’t wait to start this next chapter of our lives and celebrate our wedding day surrounded by our family and friends.
