We met when Liam's brother married my best friend. Liam was the elusive younger McCann who had been hiding away in the Navy for 4 years...actively postponing our love story, thanks a lot! Our first conversation was at the rehearsal dinner, when Liam had the brilliant idea to make our big entrance into the wedding, by chugging two bottles of champagne. Knowing full well, I couldn't down more than a large sip, I agreed because who am I to turn down a cute boy, and some champagne! Thanks to the matchmakers (Sam & Pat), we both couldn't wait to see each other at the wedding the next day. While we didn't get to chug our bottles of champagne, walking in together was the grandest entrance either of us could have asked for, and we've been happily inseparable ever since.

Liam and I went on a hike last winter to High Point at Wyanokie State Park. We both fell in love with the view at the peak, where on a clear day, you can see the New York City Skyline while you're surrounded by acres of forest and reservoir. Liam took me there again in August (with some convincing...8 miles isn't easy), with special plans for the summit. Once up there, he snuck away with my Lab, Lilly, and tied a bandana around her neck that said "Will You Marry Me". When he came back around, the bandana had folded in on itself, and right as I was getting ready to say what is that, he pulled out the ring box and got down on one knee. That moment made August 13, 2022, the best day of both of our lives (and Lilly's of course).
