As soon as I declared that my forever person could never possibly be found on a dating app, God made different plans. On July 13th, 2021, Kyser Fisher made his way into my inbox asking me the same question as everyone else - “Why is your biggest fear owls?” But unlike everyone else, I felt compelled to actually give him an answer. We never stopped talking after that. Before our first in person meeting, I knew this was the person I was going to marry. On August 5th, 2021, I got to meet the man of my dreams in person where we went on an excruciatingly hot and humid hike followed by dinner in a fake mine (my second biggest fear is any sort of cave/mine so this was not ideal). My rule going out into the dating world was that no one would meet my kids until we had been in a relationship for at least six months and planned to be together for the long haul. Well, he was too good to keep from them, and on August 26th, 2021 I got to introduce him to the three greatest loves of my life. We’ve been inseparable as a family ever since. We’ve shared trips around the area and out of state. We’ve created our own traditions. We’ve made plans for our futures. It’s been nothing short of a blessing that God once again made his own plans that prove to be better than my own time and time again. We can’t wait to continue our lives together. 🥰
