Our Wedding

Dan and Victoria met in San Diego in December of 2018 after they both recently relocated to the city. Dan had just moved from New Jersey a month prior and Victoria just moved from Orlando two weeks prior. They met in an unexpected way during a club crawl on a night out on the town! They talked throughout the festivities, however they never exchanged info. A couple of weeks passed until they ran in to each other at a yoga class in Balboa Park, which marked the beginning of their blossoming relationship. Victoria left for her next travel contract a few months later, and neither of them knew where the road ahead would take them. But even distance couldn’t keep them apart and Dan came to stay with Victoria at all of her temporary homes until they eventually started traveling together. After 3 and a half years of adventures and countless memories and experiences, they settled in to Saint Petersburg, FL and began building a life together. After being together for over four years, Dan proposed to Victoria in November of 2023. And here we are!

Naples is the closest airport and it's about a 90 minute drive to Praiano via private transport. From Rome, you can take the high speed train to Naples (about one hour) and then private transfer to Praiano.

Tips: It is recommended to bring only carry-on size baggage and preferably without wheels. There are many stairs, cobblestone streets, and train transfers that will make excessive luggage or wheeled bags challenging. Bring a copy of your passport. You will need an international driver’s license if you plan to rent a car or scooter. (I don’t recommend renting a car, public transportation is the most accessible and affordable.) Get a cross body or anti-theft purse for daily use. You will need a Europe travel plug adapter for outlets. Wear good walking shoes and expect to put some serious miles on them!

Amalfi Coast

A stunning coastline lined with 13 small towns which are clung to the cliffside. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site running from Sorrento to Salerno, and is home to limoncello, Neapolitan pizza, and fresh seafood galore. Highlights include the bustling town of Positano, the island of Capri, the sweeping views of Ravello, sunsets from Praiano, the Fiordo di Furore, and the Amalfi Cathedral. Nearby you'll also find Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.

Rome

A city full of rich history, Rome is the capital of Italy and one of the largest cities in Europe. The historic center is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and brings many tourists for good reason. Narrowing down top sights is difficult, but highlights include the Colosseum, Vatican City, The Sistine Chapel, The Roman Forum, The Pantheon, St. Peter's Basilica, the historic town of Travastere, the famous Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain. Bring your walking shoes!

Florence & Tuscany

Florence is the art capital of the world and another bustling city rich in history. Highlights include Michelangelo's David, the Uffizi Gallery, famous piazzas, historic bridges, and the Duomo. Nearby, you'll find the rolling hills of wine country in Tuscany. Top sites to see are Siena, Chianti, San Gimignano, and Lucca. You'll also find the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa about one hour from Florence via train.

Cinque Terre

Five small fishing villages make up the picturesque region of Cinque Terre National Park. Colorful buildings line the dramatic coastline and make up another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Popular activities include scenic hikes, hitting the beach and swimming in the gorgeous water, seeing the town via boat, and enjoying abundant fresh seafood. A local train runs conveniently between the 5 villages.

Venice

Venice is regarded as one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world. It is known for its famous canals, the Rialto bridge, and Venetian architecture. A must do is taking a gondola ride but you'll also find St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge Palace, and plentiful blown glass art. Nearby cities include Verona and Murano.
