Yes! While we will have tents set up for anyone who needs to shelter from whatever the weather may bring, we will not have any "indoor" facilities. The ceremony and reception are both "in the forest."
Will there be washrooms?
Yes - the venue has outsourced a company to provide outhouses.
will there be transportation?
Yes! Whether you are coming from out of town, don't drive, or don't want to - we have arranged for a local bus company to provide transportation to and from the site. We are arranging a shuttle from SSM to Goulais at 3:30pm, and a return from Goulais to SSM at 12:00am (tentatively, we'd love your opinion). In your RSVP, you should have been (or will be) asked if transportation is required for you.
will there really be a bonfire?
Yes! As a family who loves the outdoors, we asked for permission and will be having a bonfire at the reception (assuming there is no fire bans in place).
Will kids be allowed?
Yes! Our six are included, and yours can be too. We have sent most invitations with just the adults names, however, if you have kids we have (likely) already asked you if you plan to bring them along. If we didn't ask you already if they'll be joining, don't be shy to ask us.
will we be able to park a trailer/rv?
Our venue is in a unique location with lots of parking. We have a few guests who have already requested camping in their RV/trailers or tents that night - and the answer is yes. Please note that there is not enough electricity available for anyone staying the night - better bring your flashflights!
will there be more than bonfires?
Yes... like dancing, good food & beverages, and biiiiig board games!
Will there be alcohol?
Yes! While neither of us are really drinkers, we wanted to ensure that our guests could still enjoy some liquid courage for the dance floor (or a wild game of Jenga). Our lovely caterers have agreed to take care of you in the alcoholic drink department by providing some options at the cash bar. Non-alcoholic drinks will be free of charge.
