Welcome to our wedding website! As you may have realized, we have chosen a destination wedding! Please make sure to browse through our site to find important information on accommodations, travel tips and island favorite to-do's. We are excited to welcome you all to one of the most beautiful places on earth for our special day.

Our Wedding

Once upon a time, there was a dating app called Tinder. It was on this very app that I found Anee. After bravely asking her out, and her of course accepting, Anee and I met for our first date, May 8, 2018 at the Cozy Nut Tavern. Although I was not so brave that day (I nervously paced outside for 10 minutes before going inside and Anee wants everyone to know that made me late for our date) Anee welcomed me like an old friend. We shared a wonderful evening of great conversation and parted ways. Since that night, Anee and I have always tried to spend the most amount of time together as possible. We have been fortunate to travel many exciting places together, share our families and build a beautiful life together. Anee and I wish to continue to grow our family, travel much more (Astro and Pluto will babysit while we are away) and continue to support one another in our career ambitions. Although we had to wait awhile to find each other, we both agree, it was worth the wait.

Welcome! Below is an all you need to know about our wedding location, how to access it and a little history on why we chose this location. - Our venue is located on beautiful Orcas Island in the San Juans. The San Juans are an island chain in the upper NW portion of Washington that extend into Canada. They are very remote islands and even though there are thousands of islands, only a few can be accessed by public transportation - the Washington State Ferry in Anacortes, WA. - Orcas Island is a place near and dear to our hearts. Victoria grew up spending summers at Camp Orkila on the island, both as a camper and later as a staff member. We came to the island for Anee's birthday our first year dating and she instantly fell in love. We hope that you experience the magic of this special place that has a piece of our hearts. - Although this island is very popular with tourists and is accessible by ferry, it is still very remote. There are no stop lights, the roads are not lit and full of creatures both day and night. We urge everyone to use extreme caution while driving on the island. Please be mindful of the wildlife, the locals and the calm pace the island operates at. This is a place to recharge, be in nature and have a truly unique weekend. - Remote life on the island means spotty service, very few rental cars, no uber/lyft/taxi services and very expensive gas. Driving your own car will be necessary and we highly recommend you fuel up on the mainland before coming out to the island. - Ferry reservations are required to guarantee your sailing at your desired time. Please see the transportation section on how to book your ferry out to Orcas. -We have a block of rooms for our wedding guests for both Friday and Saturday night. We encourage everyone to come the day before and enjoy a little more time on Orcas. -If you are coming day of, make sure to pick a ferry time that allows you to arrive in plenty of time. Ferries have been known to run late on occasion. The ferry ride is approximately 1-1.5 hours from Anacortes to Orcas, depending on if it's a non stop. From the ferry landing, it is about a 20 minute drive to The Outlook Inn.

Island Information

All you need to know on how to get to Orcas Island and where to stay! Below you will see how to get to the island as well as several great options for accommodations. We have listed travel distances from the hotel's to the venue for your convenience. There are also Air BNB and VRBO options on the island if you would also like to explore those options on your own. The island is a popular place in the fall so please book sooner than later to be able to find the right spot for you.

To get to Orcas Island, you will need to drive to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. This is about a 1.5-2 hour drive from Seattle. You need a ferry reservation. If you do not RSVP your ferry, you will sit at the terminal until a spot opens up, which may not be that day. Reservations are a must going from Anacortes to Orcas Island. Upon your return home, reservations for the ferry leaving Orcas Island heading to Anacortes are not necessary. Ferry reservations for fall sailings are now open! Staying at the venue is an option! There is limited capacity so if this is your wish, please book sooner than later. Rooms are block off for both 10/07 and 10/08 for wedding guests. How to book:Click on the website tab directly below to see the variety of rooms The Outlook Inn offers. To make a reservation, please call the hotel directly and tell them you are booking with the Allen-Conover wedding. The room block is available until August 7, 2022. At that time, any unbooked room will be open for the public. Please book your room as soon as possible to guarantee staying on site.

Rosario is approximately a 15 minute drive from the venue. It is located a beautiful bay and a historic part of Orcas Island.

For a more rustic experience, West Beach is your place to go. With waterfront access, it is a gorgeous option for accommodation. West Beach is approximately a 15 minute drive from the venue.

A sweet little get away that is just outside of town. You will be able to access the wedding venue with a 5-10 minute drive.

Inn at Ship Bay

This is a trek from where the venue is but one of the most beautiful spots on the island. The drive to the venue from Doe Bay can take anywhere from 30-40 minutes. If you are up for the adventure, you won't regret the view along the drive or your destination.

You will find this adorable hotel right when you get off the ferry. It overlooks the beauty of the ferry travel passage and is about a 20 minute drive to the venue.

The best breakfast you will ever eat in the most gorgeous hidden cove. Even if you just drive out for a walk around, very much worth the drive to the far east side of the island.

The Kitchen

If you want to go feel fancy, head out to Rosario and see the old east coast style resort. It's a beautiful property to walk, has a spa and great restaraunt if you feel like indulging.

A great hike at a moderate difficulty. This wraps around Turtleback Mountain and provides great views from many different spots. An easy 1-2 hour hike.

Turtleback Mountain North Trailhead

This is the tallest mountain in the entire San Juans! It is a great hike but you can also drive up to the top and get a great view! We highly recommend getting up to the top whichever way you see fitting. A sunrise hike is especially nice. There is not an option to drive up for sunrise as the gate does not open that early. Bring a headlamp if you choose this adventure for an early morning excursion!

Mt. Constitution

One of my favorite activities rain or shine. Get out on the water and go see the sound. Maybe you will see a porpoise, otter, or even an Orca!

Crescent Beach Kayak Rentals

There is lots to do at this state park. Look up hiking trails, there are too many to list. You will find waterfalls, lakes and vast scenery in the variety of hikes the trails offer. Cascade Lake in the state park has an easy walking trail, non motorized boat rentals and swimming.

Moran State Park

In Eastsound, there are many shops to browse in. Spend an afternoon walking around, buy something to bring home and support the many local artists. There are no bad dining experiences on the island so enjoy whatever you stumble upon.

Q: Can I bring a guest/plus one? A: We have addressed the invitations to people we would love to come! Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests we have written on the invitation. Q: Can I bring my children? A: We love all of your little ones! Again, due to limited space we can only accommodate for the children listed on your invite. Thank you for understanding! Q: Can I come up the day of the wedding? A: Yes, you can if that is all your schedule allows for. We do encourage everyone to come up at least one day early to ensure attendance and to enjoy the island. Ferries are finicky and not always reliable. Please see the travel section of our website for more information on how to successfully plan your trip. Q: Can I come early? A: We encourage everyone to come up early and enjoy the beauty of the island. We will be on the island Tuesday October 4th through our wedding weekend. You can choose to stay at the venue or find other accommodations if you are coming early. Closer to the wedding week, we will add an itinerary to our website if you choose to come early and want to spend time with us. Q: How can I get around on the island? A: You will need to bring your own vehicle to get yourself around the island. There is no uber/lyft, taxis are rare and require a prescheduled drop off and pick up. Rental cars are very limited and not a popular option. Q: What are the COVID restrictions and/or requirements for attendance? A: We will be following both state and county protocols for our wedding. At this time, there are no restrictions for vaccinated or unvaccinated people in Washington State or Island County. If you are unvaccinated:The CDC and Washington State Department of Health recommend if you are unvaccinated to wear masks while in public spaces for your own safety. If you are unvaccinated and have had contact with someone who is positive for COVID-19, it is considered an exposure and we are asking that you stay home and quarantine, as recommended by the CDC and Washington State Department of Health. In addition, regardless of exposure, we are asking all unvaccinated guests to take daily rapids 3 days prior to travel to the island and daily while on the island. If you are fully vaccinated:The CDC and Washington State Department of Health recommend that if you had contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive, it is not considered an exposure so long as you do not have symptoms. We do ask that if you are vaccinated and have had contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive that you take a daily rapid while on the island. At this time we are following the CDC's definition for fully vaccinated as "a person is fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving all recommended doses in the primary series of their COVID-19 vaccination". The island is small and dear to us. We intend to make sure we do our part to not bring any illness into the community. We also care very deeply about the safety of all of our guests. Please stay home if you are ill or have any symptoms of illness. We encourage everyone to take daily rapids while on the island to ensure the safety of everyone locally and visiting. This is a small community and illness spreads quickly. We thank you for honoring our wishes and helping us keep everyone healthy. Orcas Island is located in Island County, Washington State.
