It was a regular day in September just like any other day, until it wasn’t.In fact, it was September 12th 2012, and Stefanos and I had yet to meet. Jonathan, a mutual friend of ours who just happened to be a photographer wanted to gather some motorcycle friends together to take some photos for his portfolio. He put the word out in a local riding group and a bunch of us answered the call. We all took turns having our photos taken and introducing ourselves to each other while we waited. Some of us were already friends, (actually my mother introduced Stefanos and I) and others had just met, and I won’t dare to say that lightning struck, but there was definitely a spark, perhaps it was destiny.Soon after a handsome stranger began showing up on all of our group rides and before long there was no denying it, there was magic afoot.I believe in soulmates, I believe in fate and I believe in true love. From our first date on November 9th 2012 to this very day over 14 years later we barely spend any time apart by choice. He is my home and my heart and I’m grateful beyond words that we found each other.It’s been a wild ride since that very first day and yet I couldn’t imagine our life any other way. Somehow even doing household chores seems like fun when we’re doing them together, and that’s saying a lot.Life can be crazy, and we’ve had our ups and downs for sure, but I have no doubt where I belong - and that’s by his side.We were officially married on July 15, 2016 at Townhall in New York City. There was no big dress or wedding party, we didn’t need anything fancy, in fact Mom and I made my wedding bouquet from local supermarket flowers, and it was perfect. All we needed, all we wanted was a chance to cement our bond and declare our love and commitment to each other.There were at least 200 other couples saying their vows in that large and crowded hall that day, and we only had a few precious moments in front of the Justice of the Peace to speak our vows, but it was still our perfect day.We were lucky enough to able to share it with a few close family members that were able to join us, and it has a very special place in our hearts.Yet we always wanted to share our love and express our joy with our family and friends that could not be with us on that hot July day so we have finally decided that on our 10th year anniversary we will renew our vows and spend a very special day sharing our love with our blended family and dearest friends. We are so excited to introduce all of our American family to our Greek family! We love and cherish you all so very much. It’s a dream come true for us to have the opportunity to share our happiness with all of you in one of the most amazing places on earth.The only thing we ask of you is to please refrain from giving gifts as the only gift we truly desire is the gift of your presence and the memories that we will all make together. We can’t express how excited we are to have you join us! Let the adventure begin!

Favorite Places

We are arriving in Athens on August 22nd, and we will be staying until September 12th. Our homes are located in Palio Faliro in Athens and Petrochori in the Peloponnese. The Navarone Hotel is located within walking distance of our home in Petrochori or a quick half mile ride by car. There are also many beaches within a few miles, each offering a different atmosphere and style.At the local Platia (Town Square) there is a wonderful restaurant called Opos Palia with live music in the evenings, which is also walking distance from the Hotel Navarone.Of course, we will be in constant contact with you all during your stay and we will be going to local beaches and dining in different places nightly. You are always welcome to join us wherever we are. There are so many things to do and infinite places to explore or you may simply wish to relax and enjoy the natural beauty that is Greece. Whatever you choose we can't wait to share this magical place with you.

Our venue is located directly on one of the beautiful local beaches and the suggested attire is beach casual. Sundress for the ladies and linen or cotton pants for the men. Comfortable shoes and a stylish pair of shades are a must.

Feel free to reach out to us—we can let you know what to expect in each area and help you with recommendations or even assist with your reservations if needed.

Staying in Petrochori

We personally know the owners of this lovely establishment and have already spoken to them about the event. Once we have an idea of everyone's chosen itinerary, we can let them know and reserve a block of rooms. They have small villas available as well as the rooms right by the pool and beach bar amenities. This hotel is in the village very close to where we live and you cannot beat the hospitality and warmth with which it is run. We often gather out by the pool in the afternoons between daily visits to the beaches and naps before dinner.

Hotel Navarone

This is a Marriott Westin hotel that is about a15-20 minutes drive from where we will be located. We are including this information for anyone who might wish to stay in a larger hotel type chain. It also has a golf course and many restaurants and amenities. We still suggest the local hotel as that is very close to everything and has a certain charm and local flair that we feel can't be fabricated.

W Costa Navarino, is also a Marriott Hotel, located in Gialova. This is the Platia, (Town Square) and it is within walking distance from The Navarone Hotel.It's a special place, a little slice of local perfection. They have live music in the evenings and a coffee and waffle house as well. We always eat here a few times during our stay. Grigoris Taverna is another local favorite where we spend many evenings. Elia

Located in Gialova on the beautiful Navarino Bay in the south western Peloponnese, the restaurant Elia was opened in 2008 by Dimitri and Zoe with a lot of love and hard work. One of the most incredible Italian restaurants we've ever dined in. La Cucina Italiana is an Italian restaurant in Gialova Messinias. Located on the second floor over Cafe Ionis. Enjoy a variety of Italian specialties and our famous crispy thin crust pizza with an amazing terrace view of Sfaktiria and Pylos. Come for an early dinner and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. The kitchen is open till midnight for those who would like a night out with friends in a cosy environment. Friendly service and great food. Take out available and special requests are possible. Set on the hill of Epano Englianos in the region of Messenia (or Messinia) in Western Peloponnese, the Palace of Nestor is a 25-minute drive from the modern town of Pylos or a one-hour drive from Kalamata. Before the Palace was built, the hill and its surrounding area had been inhabited continuously since the 20th century BC.The earliest successful excavation of Nestor’s Palace took place in 1939 when archaeologists found the first Linear B clay tablets there. Excavation works resumed after World War II in 1952 and continue until today.

Discover the New Castle Fortress in Pylos

Built by the Venetians in the early 13th century on a rocky promontory, the castle of Methoni is among the largest ones in the Mediterranean. You will be impressed by the 14 arch stone&nbsp;bridge&nbsp;connecting the castle to the shore, which replaced the timber one&nbsp;that stood&nbsp;there before the Venetians. The celebrated symbol of Venice, the lion of San Marco, is engraved on the gate of the castle. You will also see emblems, blazons, inscriptions, and reliefs belonging to Venetian lords, the relics of two Ottoman bathhouses, the Loredan and Bembo bastions, parts of Agia Sophia Byzantine Church, the chapel of Agia Sotira built in 1830 by the French, and the Morozini Column among other sights.
