Our story begins in 2018 at the start of my third year of teaching Kindergarten in Austin, Tx. A tall, handsome guy walking down the hallway caught my eye on the second day of school. The high school nostalgia of quick glances and smiles at each other in passing immediately began!

Several months of friendly co-worker banter in the dismissal line passed before he used the opportunity to talk about my Nana's vintage Cowboys sweatshirt I was wearing on Pajama Day to invite me to join him and his best friend to watch the game later that Thursday night. (Little did I know how much of an event that TNF would become in our lives!)

I had already told my friend Jill about the mysterious cutie at school who made my workdays much more exciting, so when I giddily invited her to join us at Ojos Locos, of course she was down to go! Jill and I showed up to a full capacity crowd of mostly Cowboys/soccer fans and found Adrian and Bryce sitting with Jose (a random guy who befriended them to sit at his table because there was nowhere else to sit). I soon learned that these two are quick to make friends wherever they go, but this random friend, who insisted on feeding us watermelon paleta shots all night, sure did help to make our first hang one to remember.

We yelled at each other through the loudness of music and the crowd cheering and barely watched the game. We confessed our love for children's animated movies to each other during a commercial of The Grinch and made plans to watch it together (and we did just two days later!).

A lot has happened in the nearly six years since that night, but our love for watching The Cowboys and ALL the kid movies together has remained the same! We're so excited to see what the next six years and beyond holds for us and to continue to share our story with all of you!
