Their story begins in the fall of 2019. Victoria and Jose met through playing in their school’s swimming team. Although Jose was infamously always with his small, close-knit group of friends, opportunities presented themselves to have brief, humorous conversations. Little did they know that these seemingly insignificant gestures would lead to a lifetime of love, laughter, and shared adventures.

Because of the busyness of their lives and the calamity that ensued with the COVID pandemic, Victoria and Jose did not run into each other after swimming season. However, whilst in job school with the Army, Jose reached out to Victoria looking to catch up. A simple, friendly follow-up. But one day of texting turned into two, which then turned into a week, and eventually, the rest of Jose’s time at job school. It did not take long for both Jose and Victoria to know something special had begun. It wasn’t just the sparks; it was the way they made each other laugh and the comfortable ease they felt whilst conversing.

Their journey together has been filled with unforgettable moments. There was the time they went to Six Flags and Victoria beat Jose in a water gun carnival game, leading to Victoria winning a plush toy we named Goomba (which she said looked like me, but I would beg to differ!).

Or the time Jose gave a thoughtful, warm gift basket to Victoria while wearing a rather peculiar costume.. a hot dog costume (you have to admit, it is a pretty cool costume!).

Thanks to the investment and effort of both Victoria and Jose’s families, the proposal was picture perfect. Although including family in proposals is infamous for being stressful, everything seamlessly fell in line. The decorations were stunning, everyone made it on time, and, most importantly, Victoria loved it.

Thereafter, everyone celebrated in the most Texan way possible… with some delicious barbeque!

They can’t wait to see what the future holds. More adventures, more laughter, and, undoubtedly, more unforgettable memories. With God as their foundation in everything they do, Jose and Victoria look to the future with their heads held high; excited to see what God can do through their lives. Jose and Victoria would be grateful to have all of you to celebrate with them. Your love and support mean the world as they embark on this next chapter of their lives.
