Let me start by saying this is Nick writing, just to give you a little background, so what you read is a one person perspective, but hey, I think we're both on the same page with our feelings. Speaking of the same page, that's really where it all started. Me and Victoria work at the same school (which..if you're invited to the wedding, you probably already know). Some people would say, "Don't date a coworker!", and to those I would say "You should try dating a coworker!" Anyways, everyday just about, me and Victoria would cross paths, whether it be in the hall, or in the staff room, as I eat one too many peanut butter pretzels that would now put me in an ambulance. We would always laugh, joke around, and we were honestly really good friends at first. However, there was always that litttttle something more there. We both knew it, it was a mutual feeling. The side smirks and the little smiles always made sure we both knew it, and every time we had one of those moments, it was accompanied with a, "I think we're on the same page". Turns out, we always were on the same page.

I can't lie, we were both currently with someone when we met, and when these moments happened. However, I knew she was unhappy, and she knew I was unhappy, and we found comfort in each other with that. Follow that comfort with some late, and I mean lateeee, nights out on Fridays after work. 3:00 PM hit and we would meet coworkers out to the bar by 4, everyone is having a great time, and they all leave by 10, but two people always stayed until closing.

Yea....that was us.

Neither of us wanted to leave because again, we were happy with each other. Being around each other, laughing, being brutally honest, it was what we both needed.

Fast forward, years later. We have an apartment, a tortoise, the most adorable dog, and we have each other. Was there bumps and twists along the way? Absolutely! But when I think about our story and how we got to the point we are at today, I always come back to a feeling. A feeling of just knowing . Knowing that it's right, knowing this is what was supposed to happen, and a feeling that makes me unbelievably excited to soon call her my wife.
