February 2012

The initial meeting happened because Victoria saw Jacob play rec-league basketball. One weekend, while watching one of her friends play, she finds herself cheering for Jacob, despite having never met him. Recognizing her as a cute girl from school, Jacob later messages her on Facebook, and that is where the story begins (:

Having “slid into her DMs” before it was cool, Jacob eventually messages Victoria to ask if she wants to get to know each other better. She obviously says “yes,” and despite an unfortunate first date to see the movie “Act of Valor,” they begin dating shortly after.

March 2012

Jacob asks Victoria to be his girlfriend for the first time and they share their first kiss. They date for twelve months to close out Jacob’s senior year of high school, but eventually go their separate ways when Jacob is a freshman at UNC and Victoria was still a senior at Hough. Season 1 ends on an emotional note, and fans hope for an eventual reunion.

June 2016

After three years of keeping in touch, drunk "I miss you" text messages, and randomly seeing each other in Chapel Hill or Charlotte, Jacob asks Victoria out on a date. Somewhat reluctant but unable to say no, she decides to go. They spend the summer hanging out and enjoying each other’s company, but the timing just isn’t right. This period of time is known as Season 2, and it ends on a cliffhanger...

September 2017

Twelve months later, Jacob and Victoria run into each other at a bar in Chapel Hill while seeing mutual friends. Neither expect to see the other, but they are both secretly thrilled when they first make eye contact. After an initial period of nonchalance, they spend the night talking, drinking and eating late-night pizza. A few days later, Jacob drives to Sanford (a.k.a the middle of nowhere) to take Victoria out to dinner. They both decide it is time to give the relationship another shot. And thus, the third and final season begins, and they have been together ever since!

Spring 2021

Ranger joins the family as Victoria and Jacob’s first dog together :) After constant driving back and forth and no longer wanting to spend time apart, they move in together after purchasing their first house.

November 2023

After twelve years of knowing each other and five years of dating, Jacob asks Victoria to marry him at Atlantic Beach, a special place where they shared some of their earliest summer memories. And where Victoria’s family almost accidentally killed Jacob.

I have loved Jacob since we first met when I was sixteen years old. I still remember the butterfly feelings I felt when I first heard his voice. I thought he was the cutest guy I had ever seen, which is why I cheered for him without actually knowing him. Even though our story is a little bumpy and we've been on and off a few times, I always knew that Jacob was the person I was going to spend my life with. All I had to do was trust my gut and wait patiently for us to get back together. Jacob is my rock, my best friend, and my greatest supporter. He is who I want to spend all of my time with, who makes me feel loved and valued and I couldn't love him anymore if I tried. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!

Victoria is my favorite person, my best friend, and my first and lifelong love. From the initial moment I met her I could tell that she is the most kindhearted, compassionate person I have ever known. She inspires me to be the best person I can be, and I see every day how she makes the world a better place. We have each grown so much over the past twelve years, both individually and together, and I count myself lucky to have such a beautiful woman as my life partner. We have had a long and winding path to get here, and though there have been temporary pauses between the seasons, we have always found our way back to each other, and I know we always will. Now let’s do this thing!
