Jacob and I have a love story that is so simple, but yet full of excitement. I fell in love with him because he smiled at a joke I said in high school. It took a couple years, but he finally asked me on a date. I talked nervously the whole time we were ice skating. Finally, he asked me if I would be his girlfriend. I was so excited and so scared, but it all felt right.

We quickly began spending all of our free time together. Laughing, me always talking, and going on adventures. Quickly and slowly, time started to pass by.

I decided to spend a year abroad in Europe. I didn't know what would happen to us or how I would handle long distance, but I packed a bag and left. Jacob came to visit me and everything took off where we left it. We traveled to cities in France, Italy, Ireland, and England together. It was the most magical month that we spent together--especially, because we got engaged. On a cold Christmas Eve, Jacob proposed to me at my favorite part of my "home city" in France.

Jacob is the best human being and my best friend. I could not imagine the past few years without him and I know I do not want a future that he is not in. He is smart, funny, kind, and caring. He knows me better than I know myself. Jacob is my person and is the person that I know I will be happy spending everyday of the rest of my life with.
