Our Wedding

It was soon after hitting it off through some messages on Bumble that we had decided to meet in person. I was out on the town with my friend Nikki and her now husband Nate when Jacob had been fishing all day (of course) with his friend Parker. With little convincing he decided to pull the trigger and drive down to Waukee to meet us. Because of the unplanned meeting he only had his fishing clothes. So Jacob had borrowed an entire outfit, including shoes, from Parker to present a good first impression. It was after a fun filled night full of beer drinking and dart throwing, that we had decided to go on a proper date. On September 23rd, 2020 we went on our first date that quickly lead to a second date the very next day. We were inseparable and very quickly fell in love. Jacob and I had decided on an October 1st, 2020 “official” date after much discussion of when it actually was because of how natural and quick our relationship had progressed. The following year brought us much joy. We traveled, we got to know each other’s friends and family, we moved in together, and our love continued to grow. On January 8th, 2022 Jacob got down on one knee in the warmth of our own home and asked me to marry him. After shock had settled, I said YES! We celebrated with a fun filled night of beer drinking and dart throwing, just as it all began. &lt;3

High Trestle Trail Bridge The 13-story and 1/2 mile long bridge spans the Des Moines River, which is located between Madrid and Woodward.&nbsp;There are six overlooks on the bridge with interpretive signage that explain the history of the bridge, trail and the surrounding area. 41 steel “frames” over the bridge represent support cribs within a historic coal mine. 23 of these cribs have blue lights on them for which the bridge is widely recognized by.&nbsp;At each end of the bridge are two 36 feet tall monoliths designed to represent coal veins found in the area limestone deposits. An&nbsp;overlook for the bridge and Des Moines River valley with permanent binoculars for your viewing pleasure. Shelters on both sides of the bridge.
