Our Wedding

Austin and Victoria both grew up and went to Saint Joseph High School but did not know each other. Thank goodness both went to Indiana University and the first night of freshman year met! They became fast friends and by the end of freshman year went on their first date. By the end of sophomore year, they broke up but always were on the lookout for each other. Senior year they reconnected at a party and hit it off again. Fast forward to the end of senior year, Austin was off to Chicago, IL, working at Grainger, and Victoria was headed to Carmel, IN, working at Sigma Kappa Sorority. They embarked on the long-distance journey, Victoria driving to Chicago or Austin taking the bus to Carmel. Suddenly, COVID-19 hit and both moved back to South Bend with their parents. They knew that this was not going to work long-term so they starting working on plans of where to move next. They decided Carmel, IN was the place to be. Austin got approval to work from home for Grainger and Victoria got a new job that is fully remote with Phreesia. In May 2021 they got Nala, their favorite fur friend and dove into learning everything about dogs. They moved in together in February 2022 and engaged on September 9, 2022! In February 2023 they brought their first home together in Westfield, IN! October 21, 2023 here we come!

Dress Code

The dress code is black tie optional. For men, if you have a tuxedo, we would LOVE for you to wear it. If not, a dark suit and tie are acceptable. For women, a long dress or formal gown is appropriate. If you need more ideas on what to wear, check out the website linked below. We recommend bringing a jacket, as the reception is outside. Please refrain from wearing any colors reserved for the bride such as white, champagne, ivory or any pattern that is predominately white. Pets

Although we love all animals, pets are not allowed. We are sad our furry girl won't be able to join either!

Airport 

If you have to fly, the best place is the Indianapolis International Airport. There are plenty of Ubers, but you can also rent a car at the Indianapolis International Airport.

Where is this thing happening?

Our Lady of Mount Carmel is where Victoria and Austin go to church every week. Victoria is even a parishioner there! Coxhall Gardens is located in Carmel, IN, and is a beautiful garden. Please see below for a map to find where to go. No matter what, look for the big white tent. That is where the party is!

Where can I park at Coxhall?

Parking is free! If you come in off of Towne Rd, turn left at the bell tower/dead end. If you come in off of Hoover Rd, turn right a the belle tower/dead end. Look for the white tent or bridge over the water and park anywhere. There will also be signs for the Pekarek/Truhler wedding. All parking is free.

Where can I park at the church?

Thank you for coming to witness the beautiful Sacrament of Matrimony between Victoria and&nbsp;Austin at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church! There will be a wedding&nbsp;team present at the church so please let them know if there is anything they can do to assist you.&nbsp;&nbsp; To make your arrival and departure as seamless as possible, there is a diagram to help you&nbsp;know where to park and enter the church. The church recently went through a significant&nbsp;renovation that was completed in July 2023 (see the yellow areas below). If you arrive early,&nbsp;please feel free to tour our new Parish offices, meeting spaces and additional Narthex.&nbsp;&nbsp; It is recommended that you enter the parking lot off of Oak Ridge Road - see the purple&nbsp;arrows.&nbsp;&nbsp; The main parking lots on the North and East sides of the church are the best places to park.&nbsp;There are 2 main sets of doors where you can enter the church (See the red arrows in the&nbsp;diagram).&nbsp;&nbsp; The elevator is located on the East side of the church. There are handicapped parking spots&nbsp;right by it. It has 2 glass double doors and a small atrium.&nbsp;&nbsp; There are 2 options to exit. Please note that the North side exit is for East bound traffic only -&nbsp;orange lines.&nbsp;&nbsp;
