Our Wedding

Victoria and Reid met in the fall of 2021, when they were both teaching at Cason Lane Academy. Victoria taught 3rd grade and Reid would assist a student in her class. Reid felt the connection build every time he stepped into her classroom. Victoria started to notice his funny and outgoing attitude with the kids. She then invited him to her Halloween housewarming party and later asked him to help wrap her student's Christmas gifts. On their first date, they went to Jack Brown's and Dave and Buster's. They stayed together that night until 2 am (which is rare for them). That January, Reid officially asked Victoria to be his girlfriend. For the first 4 months of dating, they kept it a secret at&nbsp; work and Reid often referred to Victoria as his "Special Friend" on social media. But once she left Cason Lane in May, the truth came out! &nbsp;For the next two years, they met each other's families and friends, joined the Experience Community Church, got heavily involved in Bible study, and started dreaming about their future together. Reid decided to make that dream a reality in January 2024. Reid and Victoria went to the Reed Hotel in Chattanooga to celebrate their two year dating anniversary. During the stay, the staff would(accidentally) address Victoria as Mrs. Halliburton, which would make her smile. After a day at the Aquarium and adventures bowling, Reid took Victoria to the lobby and asked, "Do you remember the lady calling you Mrs. Halliburton? Do you want to be?" Reid got down on one knee and presented a ring that was made with Victoria's grandmother's diamonds as a symbol of his love, and asked her to marry him. Victoria said Yes!! However, Reid was not done. He proceeded to lead Victoria BLINDFOLDED down the streets of Chattanooga to surprise her at a nearby restaurant with her family and friends. Since then, the couple has been planning for their big day and they can't wait to share it with all of their family and friends!

This is a man I met about my sophomore year of high school and he has roomed with me, since I bought my house. I love this man. And through the ups and the downs, he has cared for me like a big brother.

I met this man my sophomore year in high school. We did theater stuff together. He has also roomed with me at my house.

This is my fiancé's brother and friend. Even though he is a Tennessee fan, he is part of the family now.

I've known this man since elementary school. We reconnected more in high school and through the future.

We met in high school. Willie always knows how to get the party started.

Kristine is the brides twin sister. In some ways they are opposites(ex: she is left handed and Victoria is right handed), but they have always been there for eachother in the special way that only a twin can! Kristine, her husband, their son and cat live in Nashville, TN.

Kristine Smith

Brett is the brides younger sister and although they are 7 years apart, they have always been close. She is also engaged and is planning a wedding for 2026. Brett, her fiancé, their cat and new puppy live in Knoxville, TN.

Caitlin and Victoria met their freshman year in High School while in choir class, making them the longest running friendship(that isn't blood related!)They went on to be roommates at MTSU. Caitlin, her husband,step daughter and cat live in Cleveland, TN.

Caitlin Wade Chisholm

Krista and Victoria met in 2015 through Caitlin and their music sorority. Krista joined the MTSU Women’s choral and that’s how their friendship deepened(that and Sonic runs!) Krista, her husband and their new puppy live in Arrington, TN.

Krista Fuqua

Victoria and Gingerbug met in 2011 at MTSU. There was another girl name Amanda that lived in their dorm, so she introduced herself as Gingerbug and the nickname stuck! They became friends after

Victoria and Riley met working at Deer Run Christian Camp in 2013. They quickly bonded over the same personality type (ESFJ) and their love for Joe Jonas! Riley lives in Spring Hill, TN.

Riley Ecrement

Victoria and Hannah met in 2021 while teaching at Cason Lane Academy. Surviving that difficult year led to a deep and lasting friendship. Hannah, her husband, two daughters and dog live in Murfreesboro, TN.

Hannah Scruggs

Victoria and Taylor met in 2022 because she is the groom's sister. She is also engaged and is planning a wedding for 2026! Taylor, her fiancé and dog live in Murfreesboro, TN.
